Baby boy eats, but then ends up diarhiaing yellow wet poop immeditely screaming then starving again.

My family here my sister had huge babies and my baby born only 7.9

Anyway...she thinks he is too small and not eating enough.

How fast is your baby growing and how much are/were they eating at this age?

7.9 is a good sized baby, don't let anyone tell you different! And breast milk poop is watery and yellow so that's totally normal. Newborns often cluster feed so it can feel like they're on the boob 24/7 but that's how they put on weight and grow. It sounds like you're doing everything right, try not to take what your sister is saying to heart

Jessica poos during or after most feeds. Normally we'll feed from one side, change her, then feed from the second side. Her poo is always yellow and runny, was told this is normal for breastfed babies. Some days she goes 3-4 hours between feeds, some days, like yesterday, she was feeding pretty much all day. Just because you're sister had a big baby, doesn't mean yours should be. My nephew was born at the end of mark weighing 8lb 11oz, Jessica was only 6lb 2.5oz. All babies will gain weight differently. She was last weighed last Saturday, and was 6lb 3oz after losing 7% of her birth weight. x

Yes it's normal and is a sign they are getting plenty of milk. You may find it settles down a bit around this age or if not then in a couple more weeks. My son is roughly the same age and the day before yesterday he had more than 10 pooey nappies but in the past 24 hours he has only had 3 or 4 and only two of them were really big bowel movements xx

yup totally normal.. my boy poops as he eats and its always liquid and btight yellow... its not as frequent now...but in the beginning it was like that.. and he ate a ton.. in the first few weeks too.. so hang in there

Yep, its very normal for a BF baby to poop even while they are still feeding! BM is digested so quickly and perfectly that it happens so fast.

There is a huge growth spurt around now, then again around 6 weeks and its normal for them to feed ALL THE TIME for a few days, then it passes and happens again around 6 weeks.

Sounds like your doing a great job!

My Dr says that's totally normal as i was concerned as well. As soon as i would start feeding her little belly would rumble, she would make faces and grunt a bit, and start pooing.. everytime! Her poo is always very liquidy and yellow, with flecks. It's kind of like curdled milk texture. The Dr says their tiny systems start moving as soon as food starts coming thru again, almost making room for the new food.
