Hi ladies! First off I need to tell my story.... A little over a year ago I was on the birth control pill and had been for about three years. It wasn't quite agreeing with me anymore, so I decided that I would switch to the depo shot. I stopped the pill in the month of April 2013, and got the depo on May 30th 2013. During that small time-frame of not being on birth control, I had one normal period, which was two weeks before I got on the shot. A couple months went by and I never got a period or any spotting and I didn't think anything of it since your periods are supposed to be a lot shorter or disappear completely on the depo..
On July 26th, I was at work when I noticed some weird discharge (sorry if TMI).. It was yellow in color with no odor or anything.. So me knowing I'd never had any discharge like that before, somehow led me to take a pregnancy test.. And I got a BFP!! Me and my fiancé were in complete shock!

When I went to the doc and got my ultrasound I was measuring 11 wks but baby only 9wks with no heartbeat... doctor ended up scheduling me to have a d&c done on August 9th because of how far along I was. After my d&c I bled for about a week and half... Stopped for about five days and started bleeding again!! I called the doctor and he said that it was normal that some ppl bleed for up to six weeks after d&c's. Well when my bleeding still continued up to 8 weeks, I finally went BACK to the doctor, had an ultrasound done to check everything and he said everything looked fine except there was still a little bit of fluid left in my uterus. He told me that if it didn't go away on its own, I'd have to have another surgery & scheduled me for a follow up in a week.
At my follow up everything looked fine and there was no more fluid, but I was STILL bleeding. I ended up going to another doctor about a month later for another opinion and all he could tell me was that it was just an abnormal period. BLEEDING & spotting constantly... Every day of the month... Abnormal period!!?

Anyway... That "abnormal bleeding" went on everyday for 7 months Until finally in March of this year up until now (May).. It's finally calmed down to somewhat of a pattern. I bleed every two weeks now with a 6-7 day interval of no blood in between. I've tried to make an appointment with a specialist because I'm sick & tired of the doctors around here telling me it's just an abnormal period... But they don't take my insurance and I don't have the money for the visit which I'd have to pay the day of.

Me and the fiancé have been trying so hard to have another baby.. And with all this irregular bleeding, it's just been impossible. We have had not an ounce of luck.

(Sorry about all of the info, just figured all of it may help in figuring out what could be going on)... Btw, I've never really had any bad cramps or anything to go along with all the bleeding.

Now, my "abnormal period" this time around was a day late, (yes I know exactly what days I am supposed to start by using a period tracker on my phone).. So the next day when I woke up I still didn't have any bleeding until around 9pm that night.. I went to the bathroom, wiped, and had some light brown spotting so I put on a pad thinking I was probably about to start. Later that night I went to pee again, no blood on pad, but when I wiped there was some orange/reddish blood on the paper..
The day after, (Today) there was still no blood in my pad or in the toilet when I went to pee.. Just when I wiped, I had some bright orange/reddish blood again, only this time not as much.
This is weird for me because usually by now I am full on bleeding bright red...(again, sorry)..lol. My Fiancé and I have had unprotected intercourse, yes, we do just about every time I'm not bleeding.. Haha. TRYING to have a baby:( Dont know if maybe it could be IB or what.. But if anyone can help me it would be GREATLY appreciated.
I have no clue what to do or who to go to for help. I just want to know what is wrong with my body!! Thank you so much!

Hi, so sorry for your loss and all that you are still going through. Acupucture can be very good to regulate cycles so may be worth a try. Also with all the bleeding may be worth getting your iron levels checked. Hope things get back to normal for you soon so you can get your rainbow baby.

I had abnormal bleeding after depo for months, but don't know if depo would still be causing it for you after the D/C. I had the shot 10/12, and it should have run out 01/13. I spotted most of my time on depo, but stopped about the time it was supposed to run out. I had a normal(ish) period that month, and didn't have another for ~6 weeks, and was sure I was pregnant (since we started trying immediately). I wasn't, and I started to bleed in March. I bled (like a period) for almost 7 weeks. Then I'd go a few days without bleeding, and more days bleeding. I later started having 2 week cycles with close to 6 days of them bleeding. Finally in July 2013, I had 18 days without bleeding- and that was about the most amazing thing ever. My cycles started to gradually get longer after that, then started averaging close to 45-50 days (O was usually around cd30) which isn't normal. I had 3 chemicals in those long cycles, which i think could be depo's doing since it's a synthetic progesterone (doc said she didn't think so, but it was possible)... but that stuff will f~ your body up!

(have any of the doctors done a pelvic exam or pap smear? irregular bleeding can be signs of some bad things...)
