I had my son by emergency c section on 5th December and had pp bleed for 2-3 weeks after. Then had a massive bleed at the beginning of January which the health visitor said was possibly a haemorrhage due to the fact it was very very heavy and I'd possibly overdone it. I then got my period at the end of January, but now 2 weeks later I'm bleeding again???? I'm very confused but I have done a lot more lifting and ridden my horse with jumping etc this week. Do you think I have overdone it again and should be worried or is my cycle all over the place??
I am formula feeding due to not enough milk and have only a small amount of pain although my scar is healed well but been slightly swollen and red this week.

Please help ladies as I'm so confused and can't get hold of the doctors or health visitor. xxxx

How far pp are you? Going riding was probably a little overdoing it and could have caused some bleeding. I didn't even consider riding for such a long time after my EMCS. You're much braver than me! :)

I bled for about 9-10 weeks after mine, off and on. When I talked to the doctor, they told me that unless I was soaking completely through an entire pad in less than an hour or having baseball (?!) size clots, that it was expected and OK.

I'm not sure about your doctor or your particular situation, nor am I sure how far pp you are, so I don't know if any of this applies. But that's what they told me.

It does sound like you're overdoing it, especially if your scar is angry looking.

It could be that your cycle is all over the place, but you won't be able to determine this at the moment because you're doing a lot... Your horse riding is going to jig everything all around inside.

Maybe lay off that for a while so you know whether its your activities or your period.

Xx
