Help! Follicles stopped growing.

So I am on CD 13 after my first round of Femara, hoping to do IUI this month but it looks like it may be cancelled!

Everything was looking great until yesterday when the nurse advised my hormones started dropping and only one of my follicles grew 1mm. I go into the office today and no growth at all on any .... 12 15 18 .... And hormones are still low so I am not ovulating yet.
She mentioned that the follicles may be bad since they have stalled.

Has anyone experienced this? Or are there any ancient techniques or wives tales that I can try to get these follicles moving???

I just had my 4th IVf fail due to no eggs collected. it was natural IVF and I had 2 follicles growing, very high oestrogen levels and we triggered on day 9 when they were over 18 and 15 mm. unfortunately there were no eggs. I'm personally more inclined to think that we lost my eggies to ovulation but the other alternative is empty follicles. The doc says a fluke like that can happen, the follicles are growing but they have no eggs so basically they are cysts. apparently this happens every once in a while. I really do not know but maybe it's similar to what you are having? the doc said that my follicle did not increase that much after the trigger, i think it was still around 19 mm so possibly was an empty one. I am still finding it hard to understand cos my temp went up after EC and all the signs of ovulation, if there really were no eggs why would I get my normal ovulatory chart? 18 mm is a good size, on previous IVFs I had eggs collected even from smaller follicles, there were immature but it's not an issue for IUI they can still get fertilised (It's only an issue if you do ICSI). ask when they are going to trigger you, I think if one of your follicles is around 18 mm it might be a good time to trigger?

They told me they would not trigger until my hormones were at the right level. I don't really know what that means or what level they want it at but I know I am not there yet.
I read somewhere online to put my feet up for half an hour and sit with the hot water bottle all day to warm up my uterus and promote bloodflow, I hope this works.

Did you ask what were your oestrogen and LH levels? I agree that the hormone levels are important but interestingly, my clinic only looks at the size of the follicles.

Getting blood to your ovaries may help them grow like acupuncture or sex when is your next scan?

I don't know how we did it but I got the follicle to grow to 21 this morning. It may have been the hot water bottle or the legs up in the air but it worked!

Nope .... I have no idea why I am not triggered yet. Going in today again for an ultrasound, hoping they give us the go ahead I am so ready to do this
