I have just accidentally given my baby the remainder of a bottle that my husband made up for his 11.30pm feed rather than the bottle I made up fresh for his 4.30am feed. What should I do? I'm in tears and really worried that he is going to getsick.

I can't believe I did something so stupid. Dh left the bottle on the counter when he was done and in the dark I lifted it by accident.

Don't panic! It's been done a million times before. Your LO will be fine and there's nothing you can do about it now. He will be ok :hugs:

^wss
I've done it before too, LO is perfectly fine. :flower: Formula can last a while!

Thanks ladies. I hope you are right. I can't believe I was so stupid!!

Don't worry, he'll be fine, it's happened to everyone xx

My DD once found a bottle in the couch from DAYS earlier... She took a big chug before I ran screaming across the room to grab it!

She had mild diarrhea for one day, but was completely fine :) It happens!

I did it when Fin was 4 months! No probs at all, and I learnt he would drink formula cold haha. Xx

Don't worry - the 2 hour thing is just a guideline. LO will be fine :)

Your fine I fed mine a month old ready made formula!!!

Long story! Shop were mortified lo was never I'll!

Formula keeps longer that we think don't worry x

Don't worry - we've all done it! It's an easy mistake to make.

Don't put yourself down hun, we all make mistakes. LO will be just fine! I've done it tons of times, without really thinking about it and my baby girl is healthy as can be

I think a couple of years ago, in the UK, it was advised to make up bottles and just leave them on the side for when you are ready to feed your baby, although they do say don't give them milk that they haven't finished. I really wouldn't worry at all. I take a bottle up of a night and leave it on the side for when my LO wakes up and he's always been fine. I've done that since he was a month old x

baby will be fine. lou does it all the time!

It's no big deal, we've all done it. It's more that the nutrients dissipate the longer it sits than it's actually bad as in make them sick.

Ladies, thank you so much for being so supportive. You were all right, he was absolutely fine. I on the offer hand have a few more grey hairs from the experience!!! :)
