So ladies the tree is up (not the greatest picture and was worse without the flash on) but I am at a loss as to what else I can do to make it christmassy! I have this tealight holder coming from Yankee next week and our elf will be spraying the french doors with fake snow and making paper chains. What can I do that is reasonably cheap to make it look more festive! And please no tinsel lol x

Um, paper snowflakes? Or you could use brown paper to make those chains of people, in the shape of gingerbread men. Collect pine cones and decorate them with glitter, or white paint on the tips to look like snow. Ooh, or I have seen them decorated with little coloured pompoms to look like little Christmas trees. And, of course, there's always salt dough.

I was thinking of doing the salt dough santa's and I like the gingerbread man chain x

Paper chains, bunting, lights everywhere. fake snow? Ornaments

NO TINSEL? Cant help you im afraid :haha:

All my decs seem to be in the one place, around the fireplace, tv and the tree which is the other side of the fireplace. My livingroom is quite big so all my decs are down one end :haha:

You could make bunting using 2 or 3 different Xmas wrapping papers? And like pp said, pine cones are good - I'm collecting some and spraying them lightly with gold spray and them sitting place card names on top for our table decoration. And sprigs of Holly is free!
