I am 15 weeks and having bad constipation, I never had this with my first pregnancy, I've tried pure juices, I drink plenty of water and even got stuff from the doctors and still bunged up, it's so uncomfortable and it makes me feel worse and it makes my day at work feel so much linger! Can anybody help me please!

yes, very common! you can take stool softener daily. They have the brand Colace here which I use. After being severely backed up in my previous 2 pregnancies.. I immediately started taking it regularly with this pregnancy. it's safe to take daily! :hugs:

Go GP, they'll give you a safe option.

Otherwise drink plenty of water and prunes for breakfast x

Apple, pear or prune juice are great. I also find adding oat bran to yogurts, cereal and fruit helps a lot. Its very bland but really works. Also hot water with lemon. Xxx

Miralax is what my doc told me to take... That and I take an Organic Triple Fiber now made by ReNew Life that has flaxseed, oat bran, and acacia in it that helps me! No taste just mix in with a drink...

Im uk too also suffer severe constipation.. Movicol is prescribed by gp as well as lactose.. I had to have microlax mini enema's I now eat weetabix EVERY morning and I take Activia yoghurt.. lots and lots of water and no caffeine.

I have been prescribed macrogol which i think is molicol xx

Sorry not been on a while ladies, I got prescribed laxido and it helped ☺️

I took a liquid magnesium supplement from the health food store with DD.. kept things moving. Think I will be buying more soon! Also, some prenatals are known to constipate.

If your prenatals have iron, you may want to find one without, as iron tends to constipate.
My doc recommended milk of magnesia but I never tried it.

I still drink half-caff coffee so that helps from time to time and I just try to eat a lot of fiber.

Glad you got sorted I take 2 x laxido a day, have done for the last 4 years due to bowel disease so totally safe even with long term use x
