Hey, Im going away tonight, its a 3hour car drive and my baby is now (unfortunelry) bottle fed as i BF dunno what to do. How do i keep bottles for the day, go out, make them, heat them>?? What do other people do? Im supposed to be going shopping too for the day with a friend... What do i do?

And are the cartons of made up milk the same as the powder, they seem greyer in colour and make my baby more sick, so reluctent to use them??

HELP :) LOL>
Thanks xxx

Hello, what I would do is take a few of the ready made cartons and some sterilised bottles and fill as needed. As for heating I would take a flask of boiling hot water.
If your baby isnt keen on the ready made milk you could take formula powder with you measured out in a little container and a flask of boiling water and mix as you go?
Or, if you have a good cool box/bag you could make up the bottles before leaving home, chill down quickly and then store in your cool bag in the car. Heating up as I mentioned above.
Hope this helps xx

Thanks, think i will try him on the cartons. dont have a flask though. also the flask wouldnt be sterile so cudnt use it to make up bottles :/ lol.

do cafes and such let you heat milk there? Might go to argos on my way, but one of those cooling and heating things, bt it thinks its tommee tipee and i have dr.browns :S lol thanks... im such a worrier its mad... xxx

baby can have the milk at room temp, so fill bottles as normal with boiling water and take powder seperately and mix when you need it, so you wont need to heat bottles. xx

I use a flask if it's got boiling water going in it it's gonna kill any germs that are in there, or i fill bottles with boiling water and put in cool bag I've got an avent one and put TT bottles in it and the water stays hot for ages

I have a container [Munchkin is the brand] which holds separated measured out amounts of the powder and I bring bottles of clean water. Shake em up as needed. I didn't want to have to worry about heating up DD's bottles or keeping them cold so I mix as needed and DD takes room temperature bottles.

i think the flask was suggested for heating the bottle not making up formula

i have this

i use ready made all the time anyway, but i would defo recommend it for going out

also i would try and steer clear of getting anyone to heat a bottle for you, 9 times out of 10 you will get a scalding hot bottle back
