Help! no water in steam sterilizer!? Oooooopss!!!

I just took the advent steam sterilizer i use out of the microwave and realised i had it going without there being any water in it! I have to put 200mls in but i didn't Will the bottles and pump still be ok or have i damaged it

They might have started to warp maybe, so the caps dont fit on as well as they used to? I did the same and melted my breast-pump, so well done on spotting it sooner rather than later

ive done this numerous times now lol, everything has been totally fine tho!

Ha ha.. OH did this to my breast pump during the first few days when my nipples had broken down and i was exclusivley pumping as it was too painfull to feed direct. A mixture of hormones and fear that it was broken and too late at night to get another one caused me to burst into tears and have a meltdown. So funny, had forgotten that till this post!

My daughter did something similar when she used her microwave steriliser for the first time in my microwave.... and put the wretched thing on 'combination' rather than straight microwave - cue one totally melted steriliser, one melted breast pump and 4 melted bottles .... not to mention one microwave with melted plastic stuck everywhere

She was SO upset bless her I replaced almost everything but bought her a steam steriliser for my house to prevent a re-occurrence LOL
