Hi girls,

Feeling very stressed at the minute but has my little man got colic?

He will only settle for about 15mins at a time, his crying is alot different to normal and i can tell he is so tired but he just cant seem to go off into a deep sleep, during the day he sleeps alot but wakes every 3hrs on average for a feed and takes about 3-4oz at a time but all day today he has been awake most of the time and has only been cat napping for 15mins each time, his feeding has been very erractic (sp) i would say every 1.5hrs-2hrs at a time taking 2-3oz, he keeps going bright red in the face and is passing wind through the bottom end an awful lot!!! (Which i thought would help but obviously not!!)

If it is colic, could any of you recommend what to use? or anything that can help me now as i cant get to the shops untill tomorro now!??!

The crying is really getting to me now, im so tired , trying to look after my 3yr old daughter aswell, Feel like i could cry!

Ps, he has been having his normal dirty and wet nappies.

Hi hon.

It might be a little bit of colic starting up but the way his sleep patterns are going it sounds to me like he might be heading for a growth spurt?

I would try Dentinox or infacol and see if that improves it at all and huge :hugs: and hope things are better today xxxx

My kacey has colic and there is no quicik answer to your question. We channged her bottles to dr brown bottels , changed her fomula to comfort and gave her dentinox drops. We tried infacol and gripe water 1st and neother worked. buut with dentinox we can add it to feeds. It took me 2 weeks to find this combination and now she is a different baby.

However yesterday was a bad day. She screamed all day long, could feel lots of bottom burps. She was refusing feeds even though she was huingry, hardly slept at all. We where seen last night and thet have said she has reflux. Bt today she is fine agagin.

Things you can do for now is keep baby upright after feeds foir as long as possible but at least 30 minutes and raise the babk of his cot or basket so its at an angle. Also i no when kacey gets like this and she gets over tired she is impossible to get to sleep. So why not go for a walk or a drive and see if that gets baby off to sleep for longer than 15 minutes. Having LO less tired may help

I changed Ralphy's bottles from TT to Dr.Browns and his formula from C&G Infant to C&G Comfort and he is a very different little baby (unfortunately the weeks of endless crying have taken their toll on mama and although he seems happier i am still tired and grouchy, lol). I would definitely recommend trying the bottles for starters. I've been amazed at how much more content he is - a lot less wind and no more crying during and after feeds. Happy days here we come!
