I need advice, Halle is 16 weeks old today and weighs 15lb 4ozs.

Her birth weight was 6lb 10ozs.... it took a few days for my milk to come in so then she went down to 6 ozs. We have been exclusively bf'ing throughout.

My problem is it seems like she is ravenous all the time for the last few days... and my breasts definitely don't feel as full. I know she's a big baby and i'm worried i'm just not producing enough....

Nothing has changed with my diet or water intake. The only difference is for the last week she's been sleeping for almost 7-8 hours at night without a feed....

Advice please?

What makes you feel that she's hungry? (Crying, sucking, nuzzling, all 3?)

My breasts stopped feeling full at 12 weeks, I think it's normal for them to stop feeling full x

Could be a growth spurt. Dont worry about your supply honey. Just keep putting her on and your boobs will get the signals to produce more and they will catch up with her demand quite quickly. Dont be tempted to suppliment at this point as your boobs will miss out on these vital messages and wont adjust to suit her needs :D

Hang in there honey! You are doing great and congrats on the first really big milestone!!!
3 months and she's doing well!! There's nothing to suggest your boobs arent doing a fantastic job and will continue to rise to the challenge :D

Sounds like she's doing fab, as MervsMum says your boobs will likely match her demand.

Hang in there sweetie! :hugs: You're doing brilliantly and your baby is thriving - sounds like it could be a growth spurt. Just keep putting her to the breast and your body will step up production to match her demand.
x

Do you have a breast pump? You could pump not only to find out how much your producing but feeding her AND using the pump occasionally can help increase your supply cause your body thinks she's eating that much and will bump up the amount of milk...just a thought

Pumping isnt a very good indicator of how much youre actually producing....

Noooooooooo!! Dont do that - big mistake. It's seeing the amout pumped that often leads to supplimenting and then stopping altogether.

We need to move away from this 'amount' based analysis. People need to have confidence in women's bodies and trust that they work and that babies are the best judges of their own food intake. :D
