Could really do with some advice....TTC for 2 years, no AF for first year due to coming off pill.....had all tests done at hospital this time last year when AF returned, seem to have normal cycles now, OV regularly. But now it has been another year and still no BFP!
Went back to doctors to ask that they refer me again to the fertility specialists at the hospital, she said they will not see me until I have been trying for 3 years!!!! Anyway, told her about my short leuteal phase, about 9 days, and they have now agreed to see me again. I REALLY want them to help me and this has been 2 years of emotional hell....what should I say to them to move things along?
Will they just tel me to go away and keep trying? Or is there something I can get for short leuteal phase? Maybe I should push them to start IVF??? Any help would be much appreciated! Don't want to waste the appointment as I have waited so long to get it.
Thanks,

Ask them about progesterone cream or prog tablets to increase your lp. Also have u had a blood test to check ur hormone levels. I think that would be a good start.

Thanks will ask the about the cream, I have heard on bnb it can help. Hve not actually had blood test, last time I went I was not getting AF so they could not do blood test as no idea where in my cycle I was. Will push them to do that, what can hormone levels tell them???
Thanks for responding! X

They will probably take bloods anyway and get your oh to do a sa and maybe a hsg for you- we had to do the sa and bloods before I even went for my first appointment, they may also scan you... They will do a number of tests to see what is going on with your body an then they will help you from there usually when they know if anything is wrong or not first, good luck x

Thanks serena , they did ask my oh to do sa last year when we first went, and I had hsg as well which was all clear, but omg did it hurt! Sa was ok, although maybe some slight low motility. I will ask them about that again when we go along. Interested to have bloods done though and a scan as they never did either of those first time around.

Aw okok- they will probably want to do another sa for your oh if that was the case back then they do them on my oh every so often... Omg my hsg hurt too sooooo badly :(
They can tell alot from your blood tests and the scan will probably check your ovaries etc x
