I really need help I have been breastfeeding my son for nearly 6 months but I need to give it up as of returning to work full time, I have tried everything to get harry to take formula, every bottle on the market, even switched brands tried giving it him in a beaker with food at feeding time, I really don't know what to do, I had hoped he's just take one and get on with it, but he just wants to be attatched to me constantly if I sit him on my lap he tries to pull my top up, he's acting as though he is hungry all the time, I really can't carry on as it's killing my back to feed him all the time

Hi, my lo would happily be bf or bottle fed but she's changed her mind recently and just wants to be bf! I find that she takes a bottle from DH much better as she's not thinking about my boobs!! Is there anyone who could do a few feeds so your lo gets used to a bottle? Then you could try mixing bm and formula, then gradually reducing the amount of bm in the bottle.

Good luck xx

My older one was an EBF baby. So sorry to say this Hun but u r too late to introduce a bottle. I tried to do so with him when he was 2 months he never took it. Moreover I am combi feeding my second one and from the 3 rd month she is giving me a hard time for bottle and clings me. They r too smart to let go of their mommy... At 6 months I don't think he will take a bottle.
U might try this though it is extrmely harsh. He will take a bottle only when he will be badly starved and before that he will cry like hell, u will leak like anything. Can u do that? I could never do this.
Best of luck dear!

Havw you tried the Medela Calma bottle? Its like breastfeeding. Or putting expressed milk on the nipples? Or some gripe water. My friend gets her LO to take a bottle by pulling out her boob and get her in position then make her think she's getting the boob but slip the bottle nipple in at last minute.
