Help please!

So we have our first name already, the problem is with our middle name! My grandads son was named Brent, and he passed away at 18 months old. Anyway a few weeks ago i went to visit my nans grave and with her is my grandads 1st wife and Brent. I basicly decided it would be a great idea to have Brent as our sons middle name, so i spoke to my grandad about it who got quite emotional at how much that would mean to him ect. Everyone loves the middle name as its so unique and stuff, now ive been thinking and my problem is this... does anyone eles think its weird to have our babys middle name after a dead child? How awfull do i sound, i just dont know, i feel i have to go with it now as ive told everyone inc my grandad this is the name but ARGH what does everyone eles think, nice or weird? xxx

i think its a wonderful thing hun. but i think this is wierd my mum partners son is due a baby at the end of the month and she is calling her Holly after our Lo. cause and i quote your Holly is so cute! i think this is odd but am kinda flattered at the same time. and my oh says that you rarely use middles names anyways so is ok to name them after someone in your family. i want to use arthur for a middle name is this bean turns out to be a boy thats my grandads name.

I would have the same hesitation at first... but i think it's sweet, not weird... i say go for it! Especially since you like the name, it sounds good, and your grandad is so happy about it!

My middle name is My great grandmas baby girl that died soon after birth. I dont have a problem with it, and I know that she liked that my parents were remembering her angel.
