Help Pls - uploaded avatar but doesn't appear when I post

I've uploaded a small picture (60x60 pixels, 2.2kb) in the 'edit profile' section, but when I post it isn't appearing in my profile.

Can anyone help with this? Is there a lag while images are scanned/checked/approved?

Sorry - just worked it out!!

I was uploading a 'profile picture' instead of an 'avatar'.

Duh!
