Help, Probably Completely Paranoid

My 6 month old boy has been doing this fake sort of cough for a while, doctors have checked his chest and its clear, well tonight he has started panting like a dog and seems to be quite happy doing it, is it just a quirk or should I call doctor!!

Probably just a quirk, but obviously if you're really concerned you should call the doctor just in case. My DD went through a phase at about 10 months where she pretended to choke to get attention--scared the life out of me every time!

ha my son does both to get my attention or for fun he is just silly like that though.

My son also does both for attention. He's done the fake cough for months now, and if I say oh when he does it he continues it, it's quite funny. And he does the panting thing when he gets really excited. But if you think it's more than that, it never hurts to call.

Ha, this is too funny. Just yesterday DS was making the occasional coughing-like noise (almost like barking), and I was convinced he was faking it! I think he discovered a new noise to get my attention! Sorry, don't know anything about the dog panting, but i bet he just like making that noise.

My LO does the fake cough. My OH has made a game with it where he asks her if she's ok. Then she gives him smile! She'll keep doing it until he asks her!

Ha! That is cute my LO has a fake cough too!
I bet its just a new noise but I would still call up, then you know you covered it, you'll be able to tell him when he's older that he was such a good faker you sought medical help!
