Help! So confused!!

I am two days late on my period, and never been late before, unless I was pregnant (I have had a few pregnancy losses). I had a blood test today to see if I was pregnant. It was negative. Is it possible that I just have a late implanter? Is that even possible? Do I really need to give it up that I am not pregnant? Ahhhh, just so confused as to why my period is not coming since it always came, and this is the first month of having unprotected sex in a long time. I never used birth control, just condoms. Why of all months I am late this month, and my test is negative?! Feels like a cruel joke, since I have been through IVF and all before. I know I am 40, but I JUST turned 40.

a very dear friend had a negative blood test.
that negative blood test is now a fabulous 3yo girl!!!
