Since I'm the planner in this house, the way we're doing baby names is I'm making a list of my faves, and then I'll share it with my husband, and he'll see which ones he likes, and then we can narrow it down. But that only works if he likes at least one of them. I have about a dozen girl names I really like, but I've been struggling for a boy... I've only come up with four I'm really happy with:
Colin
Lucas
Nathaniel
Simon
So, not-too-quirky but not incredibly common either, a little on the traditional side, British-sounding seems to be the trend. I also very strongly prefer names that can easily be short-formed (Col, Luke, Nate...) which has eliminated quite a few names I otherwise think are nice.
Anyone have any suggestions for others similar to the above, with nickname-ability?
