Hi ladies! Hubby's SA results are in, and I'm having a hard time determining if we need the help of a specialist, or if continuing naturally trying is best. The results are as follows:

Count: 210.5m/ml
Appearance: Normal
Morphology: 6
Volume: 1.0
Ph: 8.5
Motile: 32%
Progressive: 23%
Non progress: 9
Immotile: 68%

Any help analyzing this is much appreciated!

Forgot to add, he's recently started taking Zinc, Folic Acid, Vitamin C as well as Omega 3, Magnesium, daily multi

I have no idea but will gladly ask for a "bump" for you so your post gets put to the top :)

It looks like he didn't have much fluid (that's your volume, it should be over 2.2 to be normal), and looks like they're slow, if not completely not moving (your motile/immotile)Good news is that they aren't abnormally shaped (morphology) so they're still capable of fertilizing. You just need to get them moving!

DH's came back as having only a 2% normal morphology (only 2% of his swimmers were normally shaped)

Has your doctor not gone over and discussed the results with you?

Thanks for the feedback!! 😊 They intend too, we haven't made the appointment yet. Plan to soon. I feel more relieved knowing they'll fertilize but just need to get them moving. He's taking some vitamins to hopefully help with that!

Sending you tons of baby dust!

Looks like he has about 48 millions sperms per ejaculation that goes in a straight line, meaning that can fertilise the egg easily. Normal range is around 40 millions-200 millions. He didn't produce much though, 2ml is more standard.
I say it's not bad, but could be better. With some diet changes (less alchool, less cafeine for exemple) he could improve his numbers. If you have to go trough IUI at some point, they have ways to "wake up" the sperms that aren't going into a straight line, improving the % of good sperm per ml.

Thank you so much for feedback!!! Sorry for delayed reply! Still haven't been to the RE to discuss everything as it starts to cause major anxiety for me. Until 8/15 I wasn't ovulating at all (PCOS) except for maybe once a year randomly..and when we went to RE at first to try and conceive I felt tossed around and like they were just trying to cross off the list to force us towards IVF. This was years ago. Now, ovulating each month since 8/15 thanks to supplements, diet and exercise changes losing 22lbs 👍 So now TTCing naturally using pressed and soft cups!

Just wanted to update.....we ended up doing our first iui 3/1...we haven't been back to TTCing long, but figured we'd give it a try as it'd only help our chances...and hubby's SA post wash on iui day came back 22mil and 50%+ motility! The vitamins supplements and healthier eating has worked immensely! Currently in tww and trying to hold off on testing until 3/14 14dpo! Almost there!!!!
