Hi everyone,

I'm looking for any help/ advice I can get to help with Abbys trapped wind problems. It's definitely not colic as it's quite sporadic and the rest of the time she's her normal sunny self. When she has it though she gets very upset and screams during her feeds and refuses to take more than a couple of ozs and if also if you lie her down.

She's always been terrible to wind during/ after feeds but the screaming episodes seem worse this week. I have tried infacol which works sometimes but depends how tired she is as to how cooperative she is!
We're using TT CTN bottles with Aptamil milk..

Any ideas what we can do to help her?

i was going to suggest infacol and dr browns bottles but i see you've tried infacol, worked a treat for us!! how about changing the bottles?? - so you get less air like d browns?? its expensive but worth it i think. Isla is much better with them and infacol together! hope you find someting soon! x

Check this out, I wrote quite a few things that helped me

Have you tried feeding her propped upon a pillow. I have to do this sometimes with my LO's reflux as she screams when taking a bottle. :flower:

Try switching to the tt anti colic bottles, George was the same but these make it so easy to get his wind up.

Google infant massage for gas.. it sometimes helps my LO with his gas. He thinks its funny and I usually get quite a few smiles from him, especially if he passes the gas!

My HV has recommended colief -needs prescribed by GP- I have tried dentinox and infacol too but she says this is much more effective.

Good Luck xx

Just wanted to say thanks for all if the helpful suggestions- we've swapped Abby to dr browns bottles and been doing some massage and it's like she's a different baby!! So much happier and contented and happy baby = happy mummy! :-)
