Hi,
Had my lap yesterday and was told I have moderate (stage 3?) endo...
He removed as much as he could and said he'd see me again in 3 months to see how I am...
Have been browsing previous threads etc and some people say they were put on Clomid or similar drugs..
He didn't mention any medication to help; just said that medication would mean I couldn't get pregnant (presume the ones that cause a brief early menopause?)
What can I do to help???? Should I be getting medication or is that for other reasons???
Thanks :hugs:

Sorry to hear this hun! :hugs:
Yeah the treatment would probably be prostap or xoladex or similar. I had a 3 month course of prostap last august to october and it shut my ovaries down. It was great in the sense that it enabled us to have pain free sex, and is still relatively ok! HOWEVER, I'm now due to start clomid as my stupid ovaries haven't woken up and started ovulating yet! :growlmad:
Your chances should be greater now the endo has been removed, so get BDing as soon as you can hun!! Good luck  xx

Thanks dreamofabean. Why hasn't the gyno said I need any meds then?.....
thought it was weird when I read about others getting meds on here.. x

I suppose its because you're ttc. If you take the meds you're out of action for months!! I had a 3 month course and then it took 2 1/2 months for periods to come back x

Yeah thanks. He said a :baby: would be the best treatment! Been trying to achieve that for a while tho!
Have seen some people with endo on Clomid, or is that for different reasons?... x
:hugs:

I think it's for diff reasons honey. I got told the same, a baby would sort it best!! If only it was that easy eh?!!
I'm going on clomid because im apparently not ovulating although i suspect i may be and the cd21 tests were done too early as my positives have been later in cycle! Although this cycle id agree i havent!
TBH unless you need the hormone treatments i wouldnt recommend them at the moment. Although i needed it to actually be able to have sex, i do regret it in a way as im now months behind and unsure if my body is actually working :(

Sorry hun, and thanks for all your help.
My thoughts were exactly the same, when the gyno said 'the best way to treat endometriosis is through pregnancy' my mind was saying 'yeah, don't you think we've tried that? If only' !!
Still, we'll keep going.
GL to you hun x :hugs:

Hi hun

ive been an endo struggler and now successfully pregnant.

After my surgery, gyno said 1st 6months is best time to fall pregnant after surgery. As end can affect many parts of fertility.

Depending on severity of your endo you will be prescribed clomid or go on zoladex or to ivf.

As i was growing cysts every few months my only option was to go on zoladex to get rid of the remaining endo and wait till my ivf go. we didnt get a chance to ttc natural :(

I would prob try to ttc next 3 or 6 months and if not preggo go back to gyno and insist on some sort of assistance.

Also note clomid can make endo worst, also the case with ivf. As estrogen feeds the endo and with these drugs ur having loads more estrogen in ur body than norm.
