I need to help working out what help me and my partner will be entitled to! So confused over the system! I currently work full time and am due to go on maternity xmas eve! My partner is about to become unemployed. I know he can't claim jobseekers at the moment, due to me working 40 hrs a week, but does anyone know if he will be able to once I go on maternity leave, or will they still class that as 'working' 40hrs a week?
Spk to a jobcentre advisor today, but she wasn't much help, especially when I advised her that no, I couldnt get working tax credits as I was under 25 and with no children yet.
Hopefully OH will get a job soon, and I won't have to worry about all this, but who knows so want to be well ahead and know what to apply for etc etc
