So my mom is now refusing to help us out financially wise as I am pregnant again and she ain't happy about it..

I don't know what we are going to do  the money she gave us covered our rent and bills and paid towards putting food on the table and with it we were just about keeping our heads above water. She is even threatening me to pay her back for our holiday- which she told me was a gift for Belles birthday when I offered to make a contribution towards it. We are off to Florida so obviously expensive but she was fine about it until now

My OH is on reduced hours at the moment (25 hours a week) and won't be going back to full time (50 hours) until September. Without my moms help, we are going to be living off £100 a week untill then- that's got to cover: rent, bills, food, car insurance, petrol and then everything else we need. That £100 isn't even going to make a dent! Our rent is £400 a month. Luckily we have just paid this months rent so we have a month to get some money together..

I'm just wondering what we will be entitled to benefits wise?? I am going to university in September so I don't particularly want to sign on and get stuck in a job if I don't have to. I'm thinking about selling my car but as that was my 18th birthday present I'm thinking that will make me even less popular plus I love my car and I'm going to need it..

Can we get benefits short tearm?? OH is going back to full time hours on 3rd September and will be getting a promotion so are weekly earnings will just about triple plus I will have my student loan to contribute towards things.

Also, do people know the rules of child tax credits?? DD will going to nursery three full days a week and we were wondering if we are eligible to get them?? OH said his work doesn't offer anything.

No advice as live in US but didn't want to r&r.

Hope someone comes along soon, until then hope everything works out.

go to cab because im sure u r entitle to child tax credit and child benefit but im not sure if this include low income because as u said u going to Uni.child tax credit also help you with daycare costs.
as to your mum its very kind of her to help you money wise but if you saying that you pregnant again and not financially stable and relying on mums wallet im sure she feel used and let down by you by the fact that you let yourself to fall pregnant again by not using contraception and knowing that you depending on her.this is your children your and your OH's responsibility to provide for them not your mum's. Im assuming you must be very young.
go to Uni part time if you can get part time job to help out.i dont know if you will be able even to study part time because u pregnant again.and you already know how much children cost and how much time they need.you should be grateful for her help you already received.but im sorry darling to say but you and your OH bring babies to this world you should provide for them not your mum.and cars dont make people popular no matter how much they cost.
congratulation on your pregnancy.

Re childcare I'm not sure if you Will get help from tax credits as you are not working as we found this... You could be entitled to a childcare grant from student loans though. If you've not applied for one already then do so asap. They assess each claim individually so there is no earnings threshold.
