Hi, i just wanted to know if the ladies with IC have been told not to have sex.im 14 weeks and havent been told anything.

I have IC and had a stitch at 14 weeks and was told to avoid sex, because of the risk of infection. Have you had a stitch?

No i haven't had the stitch, i think i have a good consultant and she'd just like to scan me every 2 weeks n just keep an eye on things instead of going straight in for the stitch.plus not completely sure i have IC because i also had a really bad uti at the time of losing my little boy so even tho it seems like IC because of the way things happened and how i ended up in labour its not the definate cause, but every little pain an twinge is making me paranoid i keep thinking that every twinge or weird feeling is something going wrong.
My cervix was checked at my dating scan and looked good but my next scan is in 2 weeks when i will be 16 weeks.

Yes, I would advise that you avoid having sex until your next scan, just to be safe.

Hi like you I don't know for def if I have IC or it was just because it was a twin pregnancy but just to be on the safe side we are not having sex as we don't want to do anything that may irritate the cervix or risk infection.

thank you for the advise.i spent the whole day being paranoid yesterday n was so stressed out.i think its best to avoid doing it
