help!!

my ds is 9weeks old and im having quite alot of problems with his milk when he was born I put him on cow and gate first stage milk but he was very unsettled and screaming in pain so health visitor suspected colic so I bought dr brown bottles and changed to cow and gate comfort on her advice since then (3weeks old) hes had non stop pooing im talking 20 plus dirty nappies a day I saw a doctor last week who said to change milk back but over a week later hes still the same pooing loads started being sick some of the milk barely taking 3ounces a feed and seems to have trapped wind I just don't know what to do for the best im going to take back to doctors as soon as can get appointment but was wondering if u had any experience or thoughts on what could be wrong

Our LO is on C&G comfort so I understand about the nappies! What is he like during feeds? Could be silent reflux? Make sure you are pushy with the Dr as a lot of them try and palm you off.

Have you tried anything for the wind? Infacol or gripe water?

Have you asked about intolerances?

Sounds like an intolerance to me, I would go back to the GP and see if they can prescribe you a hypoallergenic formula to try x

Yeh I tried everything like gripe water, all the colic drops doesnt do anything. I will ask the doctor about intolerances thank you. During feed hes fussy spits alot of milk back up and is barely taking 3ounces every 3hours at the moment

Sounds like reflux, does your LO back arch at feeds? Ask for a referral to paediatricians, GP's aren't great with this sort of thing in my experience, although it depends on your GP i guess

Thanks for advice we spend yday in hospital as the diarrhea got worse and he wasnt keeping anything down they hospital observed him and he has a lactose intolerance so is on special perscribed milk hopefully it'll work soon
