hi all sorry to rant but i suffer from fibromyalgia which makes my back and whole body hurt mainly when stressed, was on citalopram and various other meds and came off all in june to start trying august, felt great then in last week of november i had a headache that was like tension and bad neck and ear an face pain, i was in hosp for a while they thought i had meningitis but then they blamed my fibromyalgia even though this had never been a symptom and put me on amitryptyline, anyway i wasnt happy about it coz ttc they told me it was safe to and stuff so took it, anyway 9 months of trying and nothing so fed up and the amitryptline doesnt seem to do anything still seemed to get headaches,and was told it can effect ttc and also make you put on weight i came off it 4 weeks ago and have had a constant pressure headache for two weeks very fed up of it now! but dont want to go bk on it and dont want doctor to moan! but its really unbearable now! any suggestions please help!

Does amitriptyline affect fertility or pregnancy?
There is no effect on fertility. Amitriptyline is not generally recommended during pregnancy, although you should not stop it suddenly. If you are planning a family or become pregnant while on amitriptyline you should discuss this with your doctor as soon as possible. If amitriptyline is taken during pregnancy, very rarely the newborn baby’s heart rate is affected or the baby may become restless. Make sure that the midwife knows that you are on amitriptyline.

right i think you should have a word with you doctor ask him if could try something else instead and tell them there not working anyway hun stressful ttc i only been trying this is my 2nd month i feel down stressed etc and mostly frustrated so i feel for you and what your going though hun do you use ovulation test ??

yeah i have been doin o tests and had blood tests and all bk ok so thats good, its very stressful, so annoyed with it all! just want this headache to go!
