Anyone got an suggestions for books on autism that are actually helpful?
Something with some good techniques to try to manage meltdowns etc

NAS have some recommended here https://www.autism.org.uk/shop/books-and-resources-from-the-nas.aspx

We had this recommended during our Hanen classes too, i dont know if it would be applicable btu its a mega textbook type thing https://www.winslowresources.com/hanen-more-than-words.html

Ploughed through understanding autism last night (it's only 77 pages). Really helpful tips in it for avoiding and managing meltdowns.
Also gave me an insight into my son's behaviour that it may be linked to anxiety rather than anger or frustration

Glad you are finding the benefit of these books already! :)
