Good afternoon all
It's my 1st post on here, I was looking for some advice,

After christmas i want to intevestigate into getting a Pram/car seat
I've heard a lot about the Icandy pushchairs, are they so expensive beacuse of the name?

What Pushchairs do you all suggest, Its so confusing I honestly do not know where to start!!!

Thanks all

I currently have a mama's and papas luna and love it. We are debating on buying another with car seat and carrycot or invest in an icandy. The icady is lovely but really expensive by the time you add all the extras x

Hi and welcome! :flower:

I would suggest going to a store like Mothercare, Mamas and Papas or Kiddicare and just trying a load out. Maybe if you end up with a shortlist you can then read reviews online.

Have an idea in mind what is important to you. If you drive you'll need the pram to fit into your boot so you need to check the size of it folded down.

Does the pram easily fold down with one hand while you have your baby in the other?

Do you want a travel system seeing you from birth upwards or do you want one to last for 6 months or so then replace? If you have a travel system does the car seat part fit your car?

Sorry if I seem to have made your problems worse with the above questions!

We went for the Mothercare Xtreme. We don't have a car so the size folded down wasn't an issue for us. It is good for different terrains as I plan on walking lots by the canal which is quite bumpy.

We also wanted a travel system. I don't want to have to replace my pram as baby grows. Our one is suitable from birth.

We went to Mothercare and walked it around the store. The handles don't adjust so we had to make sure the height of them was ok for my husband.

Welcome. :)

I was close to dropping a ton of cash on a bugaboo or iCandy.

But then I discovered the Cosatto Giggle.

It does everything the other two do, plus comes with all the accesories (footmuff, changing bag, raincover) and it includes the seat unit and carrycot (I know with iCandy you have to but the carrycot separately) and it's only £300-350 depending on which pattern fabric you get.

We've ordered this one:

But there are other lovely fabrics too. And it comes with a 4 year guarantee.

Ive gone for the babystyle oyster (black frame) Its fab and cant wait to use it! You can buy different colour packs too so you can change the look of it. x

The Cosatto Giggle is the cutest pushchair I have ever seen. I love it!

For us the main things were:

3 wheeler with air tyres for country roads
Compatible with a car seat
Can have a lie flat option from birth
Parent and forward facing

So we ended up choosing the Mothercare My3.

If you need a large shopping basket, something which folds small, or you don't necessarily need an all terrain it wouldn't be the one for you, so I agree with PP that you need to figure out what sort of pram you need, what the priorities are, and see what fits in with that.

We found it very confusing too as there seems to be so many out there to choose from. we ended up going for a Quinny Buzz- we had looked at cheaper ones but i am so pelased we got this one as it looks gorgeous and seems so solid and feels like it is good quality. You could look at nearly new shops or if you want abrand new one, wait until the January sales.

OMG girls. Thanks for the replys. I do like the Cosatto Giggle!

Im not worried about the length - But i will be travelling alot so it would be handy to have a car seat to attach easily.

God sooo much to think about and time is going so quickly!

Thanks xx

I tried them all and then tried folding unfolding. One thing I was fussed about is wheels because I hate trolley style wheels lol.

I got the quinny zapp xtra as its the only one to fit in my car LOL but its actually a gorgeous pushchair and much nicer than what it looks like online. I also got the obaby zezu because I couldnt resist the purple haha.

Which shop can you trial the oyster. I've fallen in love with the I candy but want to compare to the oyster as it is a lot cheaper!

I trialled the oyster in mother care. I was going to get the I candy but went for the oyster instead and saved a fortune! You can get different colour packs and there are loads to choose from.

I went for the Mamas And Papas Ultima 9 in 1 MPX chassis in Mimi for my first baby and it is fantastic, will be sad to give it up for a double :( it comes with everything you need apart from the changing bag...try some out and see what feels right for you and your oh
