Is it safe in pregnancy - been told might need it for our move to cyprus (by a wife in another regt,) nothings been mentionewd to me about this

"The safety of hepatitis A vaccination during pregnancy has not been determined; however, because hepatitis A vaccine is produced from inactivated [hepatitis A virus], the theoretical risk to the developing fetus is expected to be low. The risk associated with vaccination should be weighed against the risk for hepatitis A in pregnant women who may be at high risk for exposure to [hepatitis A virus]"

Basically, the same answer as always hun - It's about weighting up the risks and needs. Can you ask your doctor for advice?
:hugs:

i think i'll ask the midwife on 31st - she;d nkow? right

Yes and no, they might advice you speak to the doctor or even a consultant to get the best advice possible.

i think i might se if i can get into drs mon or tues and ask the drs?

Yeah, good idea if it's going to stress you. They might ask you to wait until second tri or something. Things are usually safer then as the baby is developed more. You could ring NHS direct?
