Hi all. I have hit one year of ttc #2. :( still no sticky bfp to show for all of my efforts. I am so frustrated! I am just comin off my second chemical and finally have a dr appt scheduled for Wednesday to get some infertility testing. Just feeling overwhelmed at the moment and needed to vent.

I guess the title of my reply speaks for itself...:)

be positive...im sure It'll all be fine..or that's what I am telling myself :)

I am a couple of weeks behind you. It's so frustrating isn't it? How long did it take you to concieve your first?
Do you have any idea why it hasn't happened yet?

it only took 3 cycles to conceive DS. was very easy really. pregnancy went well except DS was born with a birth defect and i had a placenta accreta at birth. DS birth defect was pretty minor though - a right club foot - and the placenta accreta was removed manually. i was lucky.
this time around, i've gotten pregnant twice but lost both very early - at 6 weeks and 4 weeks 2days. and yes, it is VERY frustrating! i meet with my FS today to start the testing process to find out what's wrong. because of my early losses, i'm sure they will look into progesterone and other hormones, thyroid, etc. i am also wondering if it is a possibility of uterine scarring from my delivery complications. no tools were used in the removal of the placenta, but it did need to be torn from my uterus as it was "stuck". i'm hoping to have some answers within the next couple months.

how about you? was it difficult to conceive #1? any ideas why you are having trouble this go round?

oh wow! suddenly 1 year doesn't seem so bad. i usually am pretty positive about this whole ttc thing. i guess hitting the one year mark just made me momentarily lose my optimism. have you been to dr. to see if there is anything they can do to help?

Yeah I appear to have a thyroid problem which I have never felt/knew of... :)

i have been trying to regulate it for 6 months now and yet it is not regulated :) one month it hits the roof the other its 0 :)

I am sure it ll be fine..these things are just un-undertandable :)

do you have over or underactive thyroid? i'm getting checked for that, but i also was tested last year for it and my results were normal. my had overactive thyroid and had to have radiation to kill her thyroid and now takes a pill daily for underactive thyroid. that's why i always get tested for it.

Hey moter! I'm there with you. It's been a year. Took a break from clomid and started back this cycle with monitoring and unfortunately I'm ovulating on my block tube side so I didn't take the trigger. There is a small chance my good tube picks it up but... I don't see that happening! Lol! I'm kinda hoping the 2 small follies on my good side mature up before I ovulate but I'm on strike from opk and temping this cycle.

Hi angel baby!
Hope you get your bfp this cycle. I was just trying to find our old thread this week but couldn't find it.
Had my appt yesterday. Dr is checking progesterone, thyroid and vitamin levels. He will do a hysterioscopy if I want to check for scarring but won't do the panel till I've had 3 losses or been ttc another 6 months. I just had another chemical last month. Waiting on blood results now. Hoping they call today but guessing it will be Friday before they do

I hope they find the issue for you and have a sticky bean soon. I'm suppose to have my progesterone checked 7dpo just to make sure that isn't a problem but I think I'm going to wait to do that next cycle. I haven't been opk this cycle anyways so I won't be sure when I will be 7dpo anyways. But I do think I may have ovulated last night cause o pains. Not sure though.

dr. thinks it was just an immature egg or sperm both times and is only doing the tests because i want them. he said "if it will make you feel better", lol! he wasn't concerned at all that i've been ttc for a year with 2 losses and no viable pregnancy yet. i'm disappointed i have to wait another 6 months for a panel, but am hoping he is right and it's just a matter of time. the only reason i got my progesterone checked is because i've been charting and by some stroke of luck i happened to be on cd22 (7dpo) the day they scheduled my appt.
here's to may bfp's!

Hi moter98, I have been ttc #2 for 2 years, I found out after 1 year ttc that I have a low amh (low ovarian reserve) just going through my 1st ivf now, if I were you I would ask your doc for this test it is only a simple blood test

Well, my progesterone at 7dpo came back 9.7. Maybe that's the reason for me. Haven't heard from dr yet

He said its normal. Everything I read says most dr's want to see a level of at least 10. I suppose he didn't see a problem with it since it was close. Has me freaking out of course. AF showed today. My LP was only 11 days this cycle. Shortest one yet but I am just coming off a chemical so I'm hoping my hormones are just a bit off yet. Nothing I can do anyway till 6 months from now or another loss.

Good luck with IVF! My dr won't do a full panel for me until I'm ttc for 18 months or experience one more loss

That sucks you have to wait so long. New cycle, new start. Lots baby dust to u!

Have you seen a dr yet? I didn't have much luck. I think my losses actually hindered my chances of getting infertility testing at the one year mark.
