I've been lurking around these parts for a month or two now... I had hoped I'd never get the 'chance' to post in LTTTC, but unfortunately, here I be.
Hi, I'm Mack, or MM for short. DH and I have been TTC for a year now, with our first pregnancy ending in an early loss in February of this year. I went to my OB -who is an absolute quack and whom I will NEVER be seeing again - and had to pretty much tell him how to do his job. He tried to prescribe me Clomid without doing any bloodwork, ultrasounds, SA for DH, nothin' else first. He also apparently couldn't be bothered to take 10 seconds to look over my chart before coming into the exam room and asking me "So, have I seen you before?" Yeah, a-hole. Once was for a miscarriage.
I digress. I got him to do an RPL blood panel which revealed that I have the one copy mutation of MTHFR, which it looks like the only thing you can do to help that is take MEGA folic acid, which I am along with a nice little cocktail of other supplements. DH is taking his vitamins like a good boy, and I haven't forced him to go get an SA yet - I just don't have the heart for that right now.
So, there's my story in a nutshell. Just thought I'd say hello to you ladies and while I hope to meet some like-minded ladies here, I think you can all understand when I say I don't want to be sticking around here too long.
