Here we go again! 2WW no:3- any buddies?

Hi all,

Just completed our third ICSI . Had two little birdies transferred yesterday, Tuesday 21st. I have been here before but you seem to forget how tough the waiting is. Would be really lovely to have someone to chat to/ symptom watch with who is at a similar stage? Thanks for reading xx

Im going in for my transfer 2moro at 11am - i only got 3 eggs and 2 fertilized so im hoping to have them both transfered. Really getting excited but nervous now too lol

Hi, thanks for your reply. Congratulations so far!! I hope your transfer goes smoothly and you also get two little lovelies on board also. So far I'm feeling great, tender and a tad sore in the ovary area but apart from that good. Trying to remain nice and calm lol if that's possible!

The first time round I didn't work my 2WW. I worked the second time round but this time I've opted to stay off work again. I know they say it doesn't really make a difference but with it being our third go, second private go I just thought it might give us an optimum chance if I was more relaxed. Which I am not in work lol!!

What about yourself? Are you able to take any time to relax? My official test date is 5th Feb. What's yours? Is today a 2,3 or 5 day transfer for you? We were a 3 day transfer this time. Both times previously I've tested early, going to try and hold out this time.... well, for as long as possible anyway

Thanks hun! It will be a 2dt i think. They collected them yesterday and they will be put back in 2moro. Im just relieved they will be back inside me where they belong

Im off on holiday at the moment but am due back on the 2nd feb but am considering either booking the last of my holiday to cover till my otd, going off sick or getting a light duties note from my doctors for the last week. Not sure yet - my hubby says to just go off sick as i get full pay when off but i dont know how im going to cope - i bet ill b going stir crazy lol I am very tempted to just go off sick tho but my boss is very understanding and dont want to let them down. My work isnt too hard, just stressful.

Know what you mean though about not being relaxed at work lol work kinda does that.

Im cramping and feeling very gassy too but the kind of gassy that has stabbing pains with it.

Im going to try my hardest to hold off testing till my otd too, its going to be damn hard as im a poas-acholic will have to keep myself VERY occupied lolol xx

Like you my boss is very understanding too and I don't want to seem like I'm milking it but I don't fancy going back until after my OTD either. Symptoms wise I'm cramping too but I did first time round and that was my successful cycle so I try not to worry about it, though easier said than done. I am also mega gassy too which my hubby thinks is funny Have also had the odd sharp pain too. I'm on the cyclogest progesterone pessaries again and they made me gassy first time too. Have you started any gels or pessaries yet? Lol at poas-acholic.... i should have shares in first response and clear blue!!

If u were off for the tww on your successful cycle then i say go for it! Def think i may speak to my boss to for warn him i may b off. Ill only have 3 night shifts at the end of my tww and if i get signed off to not go out on calls then i think ill b ok - aaaa! I REALLY dont know lolol

Im on the cyclogest too maybe thats whats making me crampy/gassy then? Im not keen on shoving them where the sun dont shine but every little helps eh?

Ive not done a lot the past day - ive been lucky that my mum has been able to look after my lil boy in the day time so i cud rest up. Im excited for tomorrow - i just hope my two embies make it till tomorrow!

Im chuffed to have someone to wait out these two weeks with, we can keep each other strong and encourage each other not to test! lol xx

Hope today goes well. What age is your little boy? We have a boy too. He's three and three months. Today I have two spots on my chest and two on my face!! I'm hoping they're not a sign that could be getting ready!! Could be down to crazy hormones I suppose?!!

Thanks! Ive been back home for an hour or so, had to hold my wee for 2 and a half hours!!!! Was bloody desperate! They only put one back it was graded 2+ they are going to watch the other one to see how it does - all i can do is hope it makes it to freeze. Disappointed to only have the one put back but am trying to think positive Its funny i feel pregnant already lol - hope this works for the both of us!!

I would say those spots will be a side effect of all the hormones. My lil boy is 2 and a half, took us 4.5years to get pregnant with him so wanted to start early and began ttc when he was 4months. Have you been able to get someone to look after him while uve been going through the treatment? xx

We are pregnant already- PUPO chicks!! I'm glad you're home and were able to wee!! I could never hold that long- go you lol!! That's great that the one you've had transferred is doing so well. I will keep everything crossed that the other wee beauty makes it to freeze.

All three cycles we've never had any make it to freeze. That's what I'd hoped for this time with there being four, but my other two were abnormal and starting to go.

We are lucky to have all our family close by. My Mum and Dad are two mins away and he basically spent all day with them yesterday. Tonight he is dining out with his other Nanny and Granda lol- better social life than me!!

We had an invite to a friends house tonight but didn't feel like it. I'm gonna enjoy an M&S dinner and prob cry my eyes out at Corrie instead!! Hope you can get a good rest and relax tonight

Its exciting to be pupo especially after ivf, i feel kinda special lol What have you done since your transfer? Im resting up for three days like the doc said but im going to rest today, potter about tomorrow and sunday then resume normal light activity from monday. Im def going to go into the doctors on monday to get a note to cover me till my test date on the 7th dont want to have any regrets

I hope that lil emby makes it to freeze too although im a bit put out that ill only recieve a letter about it telling me and not a phone call. Also i was upset that they wouldnt give me a picture of my emby to dream over lol they said that after the treatment is over i can ask for it. We payed for use of the embryoscope so we will have a little timelapse video as well to watch should we be successful.

At least you had two great embies to put back did they give you grades for them?

lol you made me laugh about your lil boy having a better social life than you - i sometimes think that of my lb My mum is able to look after him whenever needed and im very lucky - dont know what id do if she couldnt. My mother in law is in her 70s and not as able as she was so i dont like to put on her too much.

Sounds yummy - i love their meal for £10 deals, i always get the whole chicken veg and profiteroles mmmmmmmm! What did you have? I had a nice soup with crusty rolls problem is im getting hungry again lol think ill have some crackers and cheese although im not sure yet.

On Wed and Thurs I mainly rested. Today I went into town and looked at some bathroom tiles with the hub!! Just a few shops and walked at a leisurely pace hehe. Tomorrow we have a 4th birthday party to go too and I'm getting my hair trimmed, but around these light activities I'm resting. Think the pottering about helps the time go in. I'm avoiding ironing and hoovering.... the excuse being they're very abdominal but maybe also because I can't be bothered. My Mum in law did offer to do it for me.

I'm def going to do the same about the line. Though I might have to pop into work to help with a few things but not the same as doing a full day. Do any of your colleagues know why you're off? Some of mine do and others think I'm just having a 'procedure' of some description.

They showed us the pictures but didn't give us any to keep either. We also had timelapse to help with selection but don't think they give the vids out. When I asked about grading the embryologist said with timelapse he tends not to grade anymore. Our little boy was a nine cell, Grade A on day three so I was keen to find out. He was an afternoon transfer. This time we had an early morning transfer. He said if he had to grade he would have said both were roughly seven cell, very good Grade Bs. Which is obviously great. Though the wee one I miscarried had been a great grade too.


I am feeding my face with being off, not good. Think it's a comfort/ boredom thing. With my first ICSI I had some tummy swelling early on and I think I'm the same this time. MUst just be whatever way I react to those particular drugs. We had the marinated chicken with patatas bravas and garlic alioli (I had to copy that from the packaging ) with the tear bread from their Spanish range. Delish!!!

Tonight I read the thread that I posted in first time round to check symptoms etc.. think I'm obsessing again

lolol Im using that excuse for the washing and ironing too and a lot of other stuff too i confess I may be a bit weird but i couldnt let anyone else do my laundry for me - think its the thought of someone going through my smalls lolol So here i am just letting it pile up as hubby doesnt know whats what as far as washing clothes goes

My boss is the only one that knows - dont think i could face too many people if it all goes wrong My mum, mother in law and a couple of close friends know and thats it. If i could have my way no one would know but this time rounds different as i need someone to look after my lb when i go for appointments also they see me so often they would worry i had something seriously wrong with me - taking all those shots, going for scans etc!

I never even got to see a picture i suppose ill just have to google pictures of embies at that stage lol Id check on the time lapse video as it was in the small print of our paper work, i think you can only get it if your successful or after treatment has finished tho. Youve paid for it after all.

Gosh that meal sounds lurvely!! Ive been eating junk mainly - think its cos i have to get it and i dont feel like much also hubby will cook the easy option which isnt always the healthiest

Grade B is meant to be good! Which is great for both of us - its hard when we have to put our faith in all these other people with regards to our 'best' chance, i suppose we just have to go with it. Im surprisingly optimistic about it all - im trying not to test or think about testing too much lol although im tempted to test out the trigger, are you?

Im feeling like my uterus is full, a bit light headed/ dizzy and achy but not much else - whats your symptoms? xx

My hubby would put a wash on quite often which in theory sounds great. He even puts stuff in the tumble dryer, again, great in theory. But he then just heaps big piles of clothes ready for ironing all over the place and that cracks me up lol!!

I think I will check on the time lapse if we're successful. Like you say, we've paid for it. I'm a tad optimistic, but def more relaxed this time. Both times after a week or so I tested to see if the trigger was out of my system. I think if I didn't do that I'd always question any positive. So I think I might purchase a test for that purpose.

I have a dull ache sort of feeling and def that fullness. Think I've some swelling going on, the few pimples and more windy than usual lol

Yeah i agree with testing out the trigger, i may do that but id have to be so good with not testing until my otd. Im trying to be good. Although i think i may test the morning of my test day so im not too upset at the clinic if it doesnt work.

Its weird, thinking of symptoms, i was pregnant before so i wouldve thought id remember my symptoms in my tww but i dont at the time i thought i wouldnt forget, mind u its been a while since then lol

Ive been daydreaming about being pregnant again - i loved having a bump! feeling the kicks i miss all that. xx

Are you any more tired than normal? I'm wrecked, not sure if it's progesterone related or emotional tiredness. I do my test at home and phone my clinic. I would prob do what you say, test at home first to be prepared sort of thing.

I bought 2 packs of 2 tests today..... Bad.... Since I love to pee on a stick lol!! Four tests in total, 2 First Response and 2 Clear Blue Digital. I thought I'd remember my symptoms too. I know that for part of my successful 2WW I had no symptoms whatsoever.

I daydream about being pregnant too. I loved being pregnant so much. I have even googled nursery interiors xx

Did my trigger test this morning, it's out of my system. Got a big 'not pregnant' on the Clear Blue . Having a bad morning. I had a rotten nights sleep, tossed and turned and when I did sleep I dreamt that I was bleeding and woke up with a big jolt. Had a wee cry this morning. Though you only think you have problems until you watch Jeremy Kyle lol

P.S. Found this on my old thread, keep wondering what is going on in there lol, this is for a 3 day transfer but I imagine 2 and 3 day would be the same:

1dpt (day past transfer) ..embryo is growing and developing
2dpt... Embryo is now a blastocyst
3dpt....Blastocyst hatches out of shell on this day
4dpt.. Blastocyst attaches to a site on the uterine lining
5dpt.. Implantation begins,as the blastocyst begins to bury in the lining
6dpt.. Implantation process continues and morula buries deeper in the lining
7dpt.. Morula is completely inmplanted in the lining and has placenta cells &
fetal cells
8dpt...Placenta cells begin to secret HCG in the blood
9dpt...More HCG is produced as fetus develops
10dpt...More HCG is produced as fetus develops
11dpt...HCG levels are now high enough to be immediately detected on

I've been definitely more tired this week. Think I've been feeling a bit icky too with the same aches a pains going on as the other day. I also feel like I have a short fuse too.

I went to the docs and got a sick note to tide Me over till my test date which I'm happy about. I can relax now (we'll try to lol)

I tested yesterday and still have a bit of trigger left iny system so will test again 2moro see if it's gone awesome that yours has gone now any positive is a positive for sure!!

Mrs- I was in town today and bought a set of 'First Response Early Test'. I think they are pretty sensitive. So when I got home I thought I'd use it to see if I got another negative- hoping to confirm that the trigger had left my system.

I only got a flipping BFP!!! So then I started to wonder if the trigger was all away. So then I thought right ill do another Clear Blue as it was negative yesterday. Today it says pregnant 1-2!! So yesterday it was negative, today it's positive. So surely that means the hcg in my system is on the increase?!

So I'm wondering if I'm actually pregnant? Today is day 24 of my cycle. So it's 4 days early, I'm 8 days post transfer and 11 days past egg collection. I know it is ridiculously early days but what do you think?

My hubby says I need to calm down and wait until my OTD. I hope you've had a good day xx

OMG!!!! I just read this but think that sounds like the real deal to me!!!!! I would prob keep testing lolol its so nice to see two lines

I came online to say that ive now tested out my trigger and got my negative today im 5dp2dt - this is all soo exciting!!! when r u going to test again????? xxxx

Yay!!! I'm so glad you've got rid of the trigger. Next time you see the two lines it will be a lovely !!!

I tested again this morning with a First Response. The line on both of those has been pretty faint but it's def there. I don't know whether to keep testing everyday or now just wait until my OTD. I will be broke lol!!!

The doctor I saw today has given me a line for the entire month of February!!! I only asked for next week. She said what I have is far too precious and recommended I take the full month. Really dreading telling my boss. Said to my family tonight I might not take the full month and they were all raging. Said I should... don't know what to do.

Put some time in today with a wee councelling appointment. Think it was helpful. Hope you're still feeling ok
