Here we go again-contractions again smh

My thoughts are with you as well, stay strong! I'm sorry it's been so awful.

Hope all is ok. Really hope they give you something to stop the contractions. I can't believe they haven't done so yet. Sending you hugs

Thanks Ladies... My Dr spoke to the perinatologist and he agreed to the progesterone pending the L&D report- so they are waiting on that. Then also they advised i may need an ultrasound to check cervical length and funneling if any. Thanks you for your thoughts and prayers! I'm very glad that they are finally doing something!!! what a HUGE relief!!!!

UUUUGHHHH!!!!!!! SO no progesterone so far- because my last ultrasound (done a few days prior to my L&D visit) showed no funneling - SO therefore - they are not moved to prescribe the progesterone. Now they are waiting on the L&D report - but the nurse told me that they are going to be more swayed by the specialist visit because of course it was an ultrasound. WTH? For now- continued bedrest - and plenty of fluids and the ability to go on disability now ifi choose. But truthfully - this contradicts because if "nothing is wrong" why even place me on disability? Ijust pray to God that these contractions dont cause further dilation or anything else, God forbid. For now -I really dont know what to do im so frustrated. I just wish they could stop the contractions. I hope I don't sound whiney, im just worried. I cant shake this feeling in my gut. Don't get me wrong- I'm not wishing anything to be wrong, but I listen to my body. I guess I'm just used to physicians that actually listen to you rather than dismiss you. And also take proactive measures to prevent. not after the fact.
The only reason I'm going with this Dr is because he approved me for a VBA3C, which is going to be hard as hell trying to find another dr who will allow me to do that. I feel so stuck :(

If anyone else went through this - please give some suggestions as to what may help sway off the contractions - those who may have been diagnosed with irritability. She said they are going to call it that for now. i walk (which makes then 10 times worse) ,change positions, drink at least 74 oz of water a day (not including my fruits). The only thing I can think to do different is watch my stress levels and take it easy. Eating too- as i have been experiencing what feels like low sugar- maybe my weight gain has something to do with it? I've been averaging about 8-10 lbs a month. I'm sorry - i just want it to stop - I feel like I'm grasping at straws right now. I laid down all night when i got home from work and was fine when i woke up. And as soon as i get the kids to daycare and on my way to work - their they go again they start within 2 hrs of me dropping them off. sorry- Rant over - i think

Oh hun :( I'm so sorry your going through this!

Your treatment sounds shocking tbh :(

Tell me about it... I'm shocked at it - as it makes entirely no sense when i asked so what do i do besides that because i dont want to be in silence and God forbid there is an issue, and then if i speak up im told its nothing you can do so when do i speak up? she (nurse) said well - if your waters break or your contracting like your in full blown labor, or if your bleeding like your on a period then thats when you should call. Other than that it's plenty of fluids and bed rest and we can do your papers for disability.

WTH- so in other words you want me to wait until something happens- God forbid. i'm so fed up. I just texted an acquaintance of mine and she is pregnant. I'm going to ask her about her Dr and try to look around. Strongly considering changing dr's at this point.

Goodness Jaycrew...Im sorry you are going through this. Its like doctors these days are reactive instead of proactive.

Hopefully you will stop contracting and are able to get some much needed rest. Did you ask your job if you can work from home? If so, what did they say?

I havent as yet- its been kind of tense due to a new health management system we have so we are in crunch time to finish training and learn the systems by june 2nd. Im a bit of a coward right now because im sure this is not what they want to hear, I have a good relationship with my employer...im just wanting to wait until everyone is less on edge and i can get a slow yes - rather than a fast no. The contractions have let up so far this afternoon. I have had my feet up all day at work under my desk (desk job) and just keeping to myself. I haven't volunteered to do anything extra. so far this has been working. been drinking lots and lots of water. basically- not over doing it. so far so good. crossing fingers and hoping to God that they just go away.

Not sure what you have available but there are herbs/drops you can buy. You need to research them but one is "false unicorn root" I NEVER used it but have heard good things about that among others.

Thank you Kitty- I'm definitely going to research that. I have been drinking green tea in the am to kind of calm my nerves too. Seems to be relaxing me. So far so good- the contractions have stopped once I modified my resting. I just come home and rest. The house is a mess but-at this point - I dont care. surprising because im compulsive.
