Hey all I found out i was preg a week ago and at the same time that i had herpes, i was devastated and embarrassed to say the least.

I have been so so poorly, ive not bee able to use the toilet, ive had to sit in the bath to wee and constantly been throwing up. Today is the first day i can concentrate on the pc screen for long enough to type.

I am slowly getting better but feel so shaky and weak, thank goodness for my OH i dont know what id of done with out him.

i just hope it goes soon i feel so fed up and down and im sick of being in bed.

Anyone else had this experience i am worried about it during pregnancy and of it will come back :(

Lyns x

Hi hun, I can't help I'm afraid but didn't want to read and run. I hope someone can give you a bit of advice with this. :flower:

Hey hun I have it to although I had it a while before becoming pregnant

feel free to ask questions

Sorry hun, I don't know much about this, but I feel really sorry for you. Look after yourself, and get better soon x

ive got it too, but i got it before becoming pregnant, the first time it appears its horrible - thats an under statement atchally
Im 17.4 weeks pregnant and had 3 bouts since getting it, 1 was in pregnancy, its not as bad the second time but you do feel achy and a bit off with it, then you get a blister down there that lasts for about 5 days.
the problem with getting it first time in pregnancy is if you have it when your due to deliever the docs might want to do a c section as infecion can spread during labour - but check with your mw or gp.

All you can do for it is try to not pass it onto your oh - luckily i havent done that yet but it scares me everytime we have sex and dont get too stressed

hi yes i have suffered with it for 13 years, the first attack knocks you off your feet, i can remember being so sore i used to cry and had to wee in the bath for a long time, thankfully attacks after will calm down and will become less frequent i havent had one for 11 months, i used to find being due on could cause an attack which is why i def think the attacks are triggered by hormones, anyway zovirax cream is safe in pregnancy but its only effective if you cath it before cllusters appear so have some in ready. if you have an active attack when you are labouring a c section is needed, other than that, everything will be fine. pls dont worry, you are not dirty and wont pass this onto your little one, and its not a sin to have it, lots of people do, it comes and goes and i promise it wont always affect your life the way it is at the minute. xx oh and i forgot to say in 13 years i have had 4 longterm partners i have always told them about it and have never passed it on,thankfully, just being body and symptoms aware is a huge factor xx

Also I only use frem fesh now down there cos using soap and shower gel seems to bring on a attack and to much sex

Having it does not mean you are dirty, I have only slept with 4 blokes and none of them get it so I think its just one of those things
