Sorry its a little late! From the title you can tell I ended up having a csection, well both my parents and hubby's parents both decided to come help out around the house while I was healing so this is only day two of hubby and I flying solo with baby :D

Alright so I guess I'll start a couple days before he was born.

My due date was June 10th, along with my 40w appointment. My doctor had said that if he hadn't made an appearance by my due date then she'd want to talk to use about inducing me. He didn't come by the due date so she recommended to induce me. We ended up setting up an appointment on the following Monday at 6/16

The day before I got induced my inlaws came to stay with us, they had agreed to watch the dogs while we were in the hospital for us. We ended up having a nice dinner the night before and hubby and I went to bed early since we had to be at the hospital at 6am.

Well that night was a mess. The dogs naturally were up all night keeping us up. One dog ended up getting sick so we were up at 3am cleaning up dog poo, then we couldn't get to sleep after....So we were nice and awake that morning :coffee:

I was crazy nervous that morning. We went to check in and went up to our room and hubby made himself at home, he knew we'd be there at least a day so he got his phone charger and such ready!

At 7am they started the induction. Apparently before that I was already having mild contractions. The nurse told me the doctor would be in sometime before 9am to break my water and that I could have my epidural whenever I wanted it. I started getting pretty strong contractions quickly. I wanted to at least wait until my water was broken to get the epidural.

930ish my doctor broke my water and I got my epidural right away after. Which didn't hurt nearly as bad as I expected.

After that it was kind of fun watching the machine measuring my contractions but not feeling them. Hubby and I watched movies for a few hours and he took a nap.

Nothing really happened until about 6pm other than hubby sleeping and me goofing off on facebook. Around 6 we started pushing. My doctor seemed to be a little worried about him not being in the right position. They made me stop pushing and then they had me turn from side to side trying to get him in the right position.

We started pushing again about 15-20 min later. She was still worried. I forget what its called but baby is supposed to come up with his chin tucked so the top of his head comes through first. Well he was trying to come out face first.

Pushed for over an hour....my doctor said we could keep pushing and try for another half hour or so but I was making ZERO progress and he was pretty much stuck. Half hour later, no progress. Doctor said she would be more than willing to let me keep trying to push but she honestly didn't see me being able to get him out and recommended a csection

Its safe to say I was terrified but agreed to a csection as I didn't want to baby to go into distress.

Csection went well, I was just terrified of the whole process but tried to stay calm.

At 8pm exactly I heard him cry. Which naturally made me cry. A couple min later I saw hubby holding him :cloud9:

John went with baby to the nursery while they finished stitching me up. They wheeled me back to my room and I finally had my first painful experience with labor and birth....the nurses had to push on my stomach and at that point I was on ZERO pain meds or anything. Everything had worn off by that point so I was literally crying in pain. They finally got me pain meds and I finally got to actually spend time with my baby, I couldn't help but cry

and now time for some pictures :D
