He's making a clicking sound!

Ok I've noticed lately that LO is definitely eating more efficiently. He's nursing just as often but it doesn't take him as long which is great. Sometimes he'll take longer if he's comfort sucking though.
The past few days though I've noticed he'll suck a few times, then "click". It's like he does something with his tongue. When he does it he let's go for a second, but not completely. It's like he loosens his latch. It's frustrating but he seems to be ok with it. Like I said he's eating fine. Just wondering why he's doing this. Anyone know?

I think it's when they're not latched on properly, well, one of the midwives told me if he did it to start again so I assume that's what it is but I could have got the wrong end of the stick, especially as you say your LO has a good feed.

Clicking happens when the seal is broken. Is his nose stopped up?

Actually his nose has sounded a little congested the last few days.

Alex used to do that alot, i never figured out why. His nose wasnt blocked up then i dont think. He grew out of it eventually.

Halen does this sometimes, randomly during a feed hell do this clicking, almost like hes sucked something thats just out of reach, then hell carry on feeding fine

Do you have a very good supply? Poppy did this loads when she was struggling with my squirty boobs. Not much I could do about it, she just got the hang of managing the flow eventually.

Yeah my flow has always been very strong. We actually struggled with OALD green poop the whole deal. I thought he was getting better at sucking cause his green poop went away and I've stopped doing the things I was doing to help the OALD. Maybe he still hasn't mastered it completely yet.

Emma has always done this, except for one time when a MW in the hospital was helping me latch her on and the MW actually kinda, forced her mouth open wider before she latched on. Right now she opens as far as she can, I cant get her to open it any wider, and she just clicks - like when you make a tutting noise. I am thinking her latch is terrible as it hurts so bad and always has
