I really want to learn, so bad!
anybody know of any teaching books, kits etc?xx

I learned from YouTube, they have loads of tutorials and you can pause and rewind til you get it! Happy knitting!!!

Ugh, I've tried youtube but it just doesn't work for me. :hissy: Shame too, because I'd love to knit stuff.

I've got a book and watch some youtube videos... though I am keeping it basic and just knitting straight (blankets :p)

Hi,
good luck with the learning. Knitting is fantastic once you get going! Its just a matter of overcoming the initial learning curve. Keep going :)

Here's a selection of some free knitting patterns for babies for some inspiration!

Good luck,

My mum taught me the knit stitch, then gave me this book:

And then I took some knitting classes through a local yarn shop. The combination was great for me as I was able to ask questions and have a visual reference.
It's SO fun. If all else fails, find a random knitter and pester them until they teach you! :)
