im getting induced in two days and im soooo scared i keep crying:cry: and was looking at some info and apparently alot of inductions result in c-sections(i think it said it was due to the induction stressing the baby and /or lack of "progress"),so basically did your induction end in c-section?
or were you able to have a vaginal delivery?
thanks in advance!!!

I was able to deliver vaginally. Hope all goes well for you :flower:

I was induced, started about 1pm and had him at 00.17 on just gas and air. I wanted a natural birth, so was gutted when had to be induced.

I was induced Saturday night with prostin gel & then my waters were broken Sunday morning. I didn't need the hormone drip as things progressed well naturally & had a virginal birth :-) Good luck x

i was induced due to high blood pressure.. and i had a vaginal birth.. it almost resulted in c-section.. but only because the bugger was transverse haha... ive herd stories about it too.. but its not necessarly the case.. just relax and enjoy you will be holding your beautiful baby before you no it.. there is nothing to be afraid of :hugs:

I was induced but I was only 40w2d pregnant so I wasn't far in and I did it by choice, worst decision! It did end in a c-section, obviously baby wasn't ready. If I was further along in my pregnancy I probably wouldn't have felt so guilty though choosing induction!

Vaginal. 17 hours from getting to the hospital to baby :)

I was induced and had a vaginal delivery with a little assistance.

You'll be fine, i know it's hard but try and relax and enjoy the next few days. Your baby will be here soon :happydance:

i was induced 10days overdue ,3days later i had a c-sec i just dint dilate x

My water broke on due date & I was induced 3 times but didnt get any contractions or dilation, I had EMCS after 18 hrs as my water was meconium stained, I didnt go into labour & baby wasnt engaged. I was told later that my hips are too narrow & I dont have much chance to deliver vaginally.

Good luck hun, almost all my friends who were induced ended up with a natural birth with no problems xx

I was induced with gel twice at 40 weeks & 10 days... I went into labour early next morning & had a vaginal birth 13 hours later.. good luck :hugs: x

After two days of propess I was 2cm.I started sentocin (sp?) contracted 6 times evety ten minutes for 8 hours and was still 2cm so it was a c sec for me I'm afraid xx

I was induced 12 days over and failed to progress so had a c-section after 40hrs but he was big and back to back.

i was induced with a gel pessary and had him naturally under 8 hours later,
id avoid a hormone ( pitocin ) drip for as long as possible

i was induced with the gel and within 30mins my contractions came thick and fast. i had a vaginal delivery but nearly ended up in theatre because the cord was wrapped round her neck tightly and by the time i was fully dilated she was very distressed!

I was induced twice and went into labour naturally twice, both time i went into natural labour it was very short from start to finish (les than 4 hours!) with the inductions it took alot longer but i dint get a section, with my last they did want to do a section but i refused to have one and they just upped the drip and he was born 30mins later xx

6 weeks ago I was where you are hun, I was so scared about being induced. I had pessarys, waters broken and the drip. I had my epidural placed before the drip went in so as soon as contractions started they could medicate them, I nearly had to have a c section but did it naturally in the end.... My birth story is on here. Good luck x

I was induced on my due date due to gestational diabetes. I can't remember what method it was, but it was the slower working one of the two. I went all day just getting back pain & cramp like pains. I didn't know I was in labour till I was 9cm! I had a water birth and I would recommend it to anyone! Good luck!! x

i was induced for pre eclampsia at 38 weeks with propess about 7ish in the evening on the sunday, my waters broke at 1am and my pains started, when i was examined next about 8am i think it was i was 3 cm, at 12 ish i was 4cm and then at 4.30pm i was 10 and had the urge to push, i was told to wait an hour before pushing and he ended up being born at 17.53. he was transverse as well so im pleased i got my vaginal delivery :)

I was scared of being induced too but mine was absolutely fine - and I was 2 weeks early (pre-eclampsia) with a very posterior cervix (I think that's the right expression - not ready to go into labour, anyway!) They just gave me one pessary and left us for a few hours during which I had mild pains, then I was ready for the waters to be broken without further intervention. There was a delay at this point simply due to the labour ward being ridiculously over busy, but when they did have the space to break my waters the baby was born just over three hours later, and after only one hour 20 minutes of active labour. No other intervention and just gas and air (although to be truthful I wanted an epidural, not knowing how short the labour was actually going to be, but this was more because it was a hard and fast pre-eclampsia back labour than due to the induction).

Statistically the chances of intervention are obviously higher with induction, but the majority of inductions still go absolutely fine and without any more drastic interventions. Good luck :hugs: xxx
