hey ladies, question for those who were induced

I was induced at just under 40 weeks and had a viginal delivery. From being induced and having baby it was around 9 hours, from first contractions to Lo being delivered it was just under 4 hours. :flower:

I was 8 days overdue and was induced on Friday July 29th at 9pm with the gel and started contracting at 3am. I went into the hospital for 7am and had my baby girl just after 6pm. I had her vaginally with no complications. You will do great!! Good Luck!! :)

I was induced, delivered vaginally after 30 hours labour but I was secounds away from a crash c section due to baby in distress xx

thanks for all the info/advice ladies:flower:, i actually feel a bit better about it all , i just had it drilled in my head that induction = bad labor 99.9% of the time...
seems like that's not always the case , im hoping the gel they put on my cervix Thursday will send me into natural labor before they start the drip on friday

Just wanted to share my positive story..My last 2 were induced..It was right at 8 hrs total from the time it started to they were born.No problems what so ever!Good luck and congrats on meeting your baby soon:)

hi i was induced 10 days after due date with my second child delivered vaginally with no pain relief there wasnt time for any lol x

I was induced with my first child at almost 38 weeks and everything went very smooth. I had a great experience.

GL!

If your body/baby isnt ready, induced labor could take longer. I was induced twice (in labor for 48hrs) with my 1st kid and then she came, vaginally. DD2 was also born vaginally (took 9hrs). I think some doctors rush to a c-section even though baby and mommy are both healthy and not in any danger if they haven't had the baby in x amount of hours after being induced. I'm glad that my doctor induced me a 2nd time with DD1 rather than just give me a c-section.

i was induced at 39 weeks due to pre eclampsia. i was moved to delivery when i was 4cm at 1pm and olivia was born at 9.28pm and it was a normal vaginal delivery x

I was being induced due to PE at 40w. Had the pessary to soften my cervix, and went for a long walk in the hospital grounds, which was enough to get me going.
My 'established' labour was no more than a couple of hours, (5cm-9.5cm took approx 30 mins!) & baby was born, sunny side up, with just a few pushes. It was intense as it was so fast, but a really good experience, and I can't wait to do it again, mad I know, ha hal!! :haha:

Good luck xx
