Hello Everyone,

I started reading the TWW forum over a year ago and then moved on to success stories, which both were so helpful to me! I admit to having been a silent viewer, quietly rooting so many of you on over the past year and wishing for good news for those of you who were going through such difficult times. Thank you all for allowing me to share in your difficult journeys and positive stories until I felt ready to participate (now, please :flower:).

I recently turned 41, and my husband 44. This is the first marriage for both of us, and neither of us have children. We are currently parents to two furry kids, our 10 year-old black lab, and our newest adoptee, Pesky the Bengal cat, who showed up in my garden last summer. We will have been married one year come June (2015), and began TTC in April 2014. We started our fertility workup in August. DH's sperm was normal, and I have since been diagnosed with endometriosis (with one endometrioma, normal uterine lining, and clear tubes), and low ovarian reserve.

I eat only organic foods, GMO-free whenever possible, and eat a well-balanced/mostly-fresh produce diet with a small amount of meat, and maintain a healthy weight, although I'm pretty bad at exercising regularly. I've been taking supplements for the past year (prenatals, vit E, C, D, B12, royal jelly, ubiquinol, fish oil, evening primrose, pycnogenol, and recently DHEA), wheatgrass daily, and acupuncture treatments 1-2x/week. I've also inconsistently tried fertility yoga and raspberry tea.

I've had 2 cancelled IVF cycles, due to my not responding well to the prescribed protocol, as follicles were all at different stages of development. The last IVF cycle in April retrieved 8 follicles, and 7 eggs fertilized, but only after rescue ICSI, so we were not able to complete a fresh cycle, which we were told was due to my uterine lining being out of sync with the development of the eggs. One egg continued on to blastocyst stage- now frozen. Also found out that DH's sperm gets weird little curly tails after 24 hours, which wasn't discovered in the semen analysis because the analysis occurs long before 24 hours, but the rescue ICSI mitigated the case of the curly-tailed sperm.

Since I responded well to the latest protocol (starting with a pre-AF Estrogen primer), the upcoming cycle will hopefully progress similarly to the last, and with ICSI, we hope to have at least a couple of embryos for fresh transfer.

I am excited to begin sharing in the forums and to be more vocal in my support of you all, now that I have officially introduced myself.

Hugs and luck to everyone TTC, and safe and happy pregnancies to those who've already been gifted the much coveted BFP!
