well for to start, im tamara.... we have been trying for bub for coming up to 19 months...we have had 3 MCs....we just lost our 3rd bub yesterday....i went to the doctors today and he is thinking PCOS cause i had a ruptured cyst on my ovary back in december....
i went and saw him today and he wants to do full bloods, check for PCOS, check all my hormones, do a diabetes glucose test, check LH and prolactin and also my thyroid....so off to the hospital tomorrow morning for those.
he also wants me to go get an ultrasound tomorrow morning to check for cysts and PCOS.....
he wants to see isaac next wednesday to check him over....and he also needs to get his sperm tested, to see if he has any and how many and so on.....
he has referred me to the gyno (the one i wanted to go and see ages ago) he has sent a very detailed letter off to him so i can get in ASAP and he is getting a copy of our results sent straight to the gyno....

he said once we rule isaac out he wants to really focus on me, cause of my weird cycles and the length we have been trying he is seriously thinking im not ovulating!! and that i do have PCOS which is very scarey but he said they have some great drugs and technics to get women pregnant....

just wanting to know if anyone else is in the same sort of position as im pretty scared...i always wanted children and now im thinking its gonna take even longer...:nope:

Hi Tamara, firstly we have the same name, lol. What are the chances of that?!

I am so sorry to hear that you have just had another MC. How awful for you and your OH. I have to say your Doc sounds really great, like he reallwants to get this sorted for you. There doesn't seem to be too much problem with you conceiving does there? Is that 3 times in the 19 months? Or have I got that wrong?

Will they also test you for genetic stuff to see if there's a reason for the MC's?

I have only had 1 MC at 5 wks after IVF, so very early. I have a friend who has had 4 MC in a year, and she has been found to have an underactive thyroid, and is now being treated on thyroxine. So, hopefully it is something simple that they can treat, and you will have your baby soon :flower:

Hi Maratobe,
I found your post via Preg after Loss and first of all I just wanted to send you a huge hug and my deepest condolences for you and OH's losses.
Sounds like you and Isaac are in good hands with your doc, just wanted to let you know after 3 losses I found out I had a luteal phase/progesterone defect ( we too had no huge probs getting pregnant, it was the staying pregnant that was our stumbling block).
All though I don't consider myself out of the woods yet, the defect was/is easily treatable and was relatively easy for the doc to diagnose too.
Anyway, just wanted to pop my 2 cents in as I know how scary and frustrating this journey can be - hoping you find your answer soon :hugs:
