Hi everyone. I hope you don't mind me posting here, if you do then I'm very sorry. Me and my OH have been TTC#1 for 29 months now, we had an early MC in 2010 at 5 weeks and yesterday at my 12 week scan, we found out our baby had died at 7 weeks, it's so unfair!
I was diagnosed with PCOS 3 years ago so I know that this is the cause of it, I am not currently on any medication as my doctor is shit and very unhelpful :(
We would like to TTC again as soon as possible.
Is there anyone else here with PCOS struggling with TTC? Has anyone got any advice/tips that will boost my chances getting pregnant?
Thank you x

Hi TTCabundle!

I'm so very sorry for both of your losses! I could not imagine what you must be going through. I don't think I have any advice I could give you besides maybe finding a new doctor if your not happy with you current one. I am actually in the process of finding an RE instead of my OBGYN since she is not helpful for me either. I have been TTC just over 20 months with unexplained infertility. I'm on my 3rd round of Clomid (2nd round got screwed up somehow and AF showed up on cycle 14) so here we go again.

If you don't mind me asking... What were you doing to get your most recent BFP? Fertility meds? If so, will you be going back to that again?

I really do wish you the best of luck and I am so sorry for your loss!! Be strong and let's pray you get another BFP very soon.

Hello hun, I'm so sorry for your losses. So cruel after struggling to conceive to lose the baby. I too have PCOS, but was only diagnosed after having and losing my son in 2011. I struggled to conceive him but was not taken seriously at the time.

I was diagnosed in October last year, and started on metformin. I had to see an ob/gyn for that as GP could not prescribe it. From the online research I have done, it does help regulate cycles for some women (I had one near normal cycle and now back to a crazy one so far) but more importantly for you, it has been shown to reduce miscarrige rate in PCOS. It is not licenced at a treatment for PCOS which is why I think GP cannot Rx it.

Next step for me will be clomid, currently awaiting fertility clinic appointment. As said above, I would try to see a different GP. PCOS is so misunderstood it is so frustrating.

Try chasteberry vitex....m also planning to start...google it....hope it may help you...Baby dust....

Thanks everyone :)
I think the next step for me will be to find a new doctor and maybe try and get prescribed metformin, I've heard good things about it.
Thanks want2bmomy, I'll definitely do some research into that.
Noele0002- I got pregnant naturally, not using fertility meds, we were doing the SMEP and I was also taking pregnacare conception xx
