hi ladies a question

this is my first baby and im planning on breast feeding so i dont really know very much!i know some one else has posted about breast feeding and alchol but i have a different question regarding this obviously im not planing on doing this all the time but what if i wanted a night out with the girls (drinking) what do u do about feeding then do u express for that night and the whole of the next day (would it be out of my system by then? ) or can u just not go out for a good drink till baby is no longer on the breast sorry if this is a bit hard 2 understand dont know how to word it lol

I don't think you would need to express and throw away the milk for the whole of the next day.....well not unless you were well and truly hammered!

Drink really goes to my head now so I don't really be having good sessions any more.

we were told at the breastffeding class that if ur gonna breast feed and have a drink then you need to leave it at least 2 hours before feeding as 2 hours after a drink is the peak at which alcohol is present in your body.

If i was gonna go out i'd express enough for that need feed and by morning i would think you'd be okay. tbh tho you might not feel like goin out for a while anyway a) because you might not be ready to leave your baby and b) you'll be too tired to stay out past 11 o clock
