We're doing well... I started my new job back in December and it and Sharlotte/family have eaten all my free time.
I love my new job, I work for a children's extended medical care hospital (children with spina bifida, cerebral palsy, etc.) which is also a school for those children - as well as those children with more behavior/psychological issues like autism etc. But even though I love my job, I'm now gone from Sharlotte a lot of the day and I miss her terribly... she came to work with me until she was 4 months old so this was a huge change.
My mother watches her and since mom lives next door, Sharlotte gets to spend most of her day at home where she's comfy. In that I'm very blessed. She has 1:1 care and we don't have the issues of illnesses and things that would come with a child care center.
Sharlotte is developing normally. She's in the 75%-90% for her height and weight and she finally got her bottom two teeth about a month ago.
She's crawling like nuts, and is pulling herself up onto everything. She's even starting to climb on some of the secure things... No real effort to walk, other than seeing something out of reach and contemplating how to get there.
So far she has decided to get down on the floor and crawl to it.
She does fun parlor tricks like "get tough", "gimme 5", "how big are you", "blow kisses", "bye bye" - and she does say mama when she wants comfort - but I'm not sure she's connected that with me in particular yet.
We're still breastfeeding... Though I work really hard at this. I'm not one that can pump easily - and so I pump every 2-3 hours through the day to try to get enough for one of her 2 daily bottles which usually amounts to 5-8 oz total.
She's eating small pieces of table food. Once we introduced solids she breezed through - and now that she has teeth, she's eating most anything (except for egg whites, peanut butter, etc.). She gets her water and juice in her sippy cup and she only gets her bottle right before a nap. I imagine her bottle will be gone by the time she's 12 months, though I intend to breastfeed as long as we can. She nurses right before bed and about half the time she wakes during the night once to nurse for a bit.
She still doesn't sleep for 10 hours in a shot at night... I'm lucky if we pull of 6 hours in a row. Most nights she sleeps from 8:30 or 9 until 1-3am. She's up for 15 minutes to 30 minutes then she sleeps until 7am or 8. She still has 2, 2 hour naps during the day... But when mama gets up at 5:30am that makes for some short nights unless I get right to bed at 9pm.
Anyway, just like all the mama's here I love her to pieces and spoil her rotten
I hope to post more pictures in the next few days... She's grown a lot in the last 3 months...
