I am 39 years old and my AMH is less than 1. Can I increase this hormone naturally, and how do I get my eggs healthy - any herbs?

Hey! Welcome to Bnb!
Not sure what amh is?? There is a traditional Chinese medicine thread in ttc section. Maybe have a look in that about herbs etc.
Good luck and hope u get your bfp soon XX

As for quality eggs, couple of months prior to my IVF, I took royal jelly. It's considered whole food, so it should be fine. Do some research on it. The very best of luck to you!!!

Hi there, I don't think you can increase AMH as it measures your ovarian reserve i.e. number of possible eggs. Women are born with the number of eggs they will have throughout life. No more eggs are made but you can do some things to try and increase the quality. I know it was mentioned in a thread before. I'll have a nosey, see if I can find it and I'll get back to you.

You only need one embie so don't be downhearted even with a low AMH :hugs:

Got the following from the Zita West site, it might help you with some ideas how best to prepare for IVF:

If you have 4-6 weeks, try
to detox. This helps to clean toxins from the body and
helps get rid of excess weight. This can also be useful in
between cycles.
• Take a good quality multi-vitamin and mineral supplement
(to help your body cope with the demands of IVF), containing
vitamins C and E (to enrich the fluid which surrounds and
nourishes your eggs), zinc (essential for hormone production),
magnesium and vitamin A (vital for egg production), selenium and
magnesium (to improve fertilisation rates), iron and Co-enzyme
Q10 (to enrich the womb lining). Vitamins C, E and zinc also help
you to repair quickly after the egg retrieval, ready to receive the
incoming embryos and B complex will help your body cope with
stress. Vitafem, Vitamen and Vital DHA are beneficial during this
process.*
• Essential fatty acids are vitally important – we recommend 2 DHA
a day (for hormone balance and ovarian health), in the period
leading up to IVF, increasing to four a day during treatment.
• Drink a minimum of 2 litres of water (filtered or still bottled) a day.
• Try and stick to a healthy overall diet. Avoid chocolate, sugary
foods, salty snacks, processed foods, coffee, tea, cola, all fizzy
drinks and alcohol.
• Too little protein in your diet can result in a reduced number of
eggs. Make sure you have an adequate daily supply of protein
(around 60 mg). The best quality protein foods in terms of
amino acid balance are eggs, soya, meat, fish, beans, lentils
and quinoa. Avoid too many dairy products and always eat
organic meat
