I went to bed last night, all happy that I was getting my head round things and slipping into a blissful sleep. 2 hours later I wake up with the most painful uterine cramp ever. I couldn't move and felt sick - had to call my hubby for help. 10 minutes later, it's all subsided and I'm just left with a sore tummy - i couldn't straighten my legs for about an hour. There was no bleeding at all and no more pain since.
has anyone else had anything like this? Going to the GP in half an hour and absolutely terrified.

I have - and I think I sorted that one out this morning! I'm hoping it's just that. Fingers crossed!!!

I had some very severe pains at exactly the point you are at. I went to have it checked out for piece of mind and everything is fine. they went off the next day and I had no bleeding. I've got as follow up scan on monday.
I'm sure you'll be fine babe. :hugs:
Let us know what they say/do.
xx

hope everything is ok! xx

Hope all is well! Let us know how you got along!

:hugs:

good luck, hopefully it is constipation which can be REALLY painful :hugs:

Well, my doc wasn't sure, so sent off some bloods and urine sample. He said not to worry unless I have another bad night, then ring in the morning. He also said it could be an ectopic, but again, see what happens.
I was in such a state when I got to work that they have sent me for a scan (I work in a hospital). It is in 3/4 hour, so fingers crossed. Will let you all know the results. x x

P.s, thanks for all your support!

I have had cramps so bad a couple times where i literally couldn't move, they hurt so bad i was in tears...and i was terrified just like you were, if they dont continue like that regularly and there's no bleeding the doctor says its not a threat/worry.

ALSO getting a damp washcloth and putting it over the cramping area helped me a lot, i hope that helps some...:hugs:

Fingers crossed for you, hope all is ok. I too have been getting some strange pains/cramps, in the very bottom of my tummy, not too severe but v scary. Have only just found out that i am expecting and am not even sure of my dates yet as periods have been so messed up.
Thinking of you hun, x

So sorry about the late reply - I was so exhausted yesterday i fell straight into bed. The scan went ok, but the lady who arranged it for me had not told the doctor that I was only 5 weeks, so when I got there, she said it was too early to rule out ectopic.:hissy:
So, she did the scan anywayand found the gestational sac - it was not 5 weeks though, only 4. so then she said, it's too early to say if this is a uddle up with dates, or lost the baby at 4 weeks.
So basically I left the scan in a righ state. Bawled for hours then went to bed.
Get up today and see things in the cold light of day...........
1) She said that I had a small cyst on my left ovary, which means that that is the side that I ovulated from. Hence any ectopic would be on the left - pain on the right - you can see my thinking now!!!
2) When I found out I was pregnant, I was completely stunned as I htought we had completely missed my fertile period. Instead of thinking that I'dovulated later (I don't test), I assumed it was just a miracle!!!!! (Baby hormones obviously kicked in straight away!)
So my thinking to day is everything is ok - just over paranoid. She is doing blood tests on Monday to check HCG levels and another scan on Friday.
Fingers crossed verything ok - but I'mnow confident they are - just a week earler than thought!!!!!
Lecture over!!! x x x

Sorry you had a rough day hun. :hugs: It's really hard when they cant give you definate answers but I'm sure you'll know, working at th hospital, that medical peeps have to be very non commital so they dont get their asses sued if they get it wrong!
You're so luck you work there - at least you'll get things done quicker than most would I imagine.
Keep positive and when you get the HCG results I'm sure you'll feel even better. x
