I just got back from a 32wk apt and growth scan. My last apt at 30wks my fundal height was 41, they didn't take it this time because of the ultrasound. Baby looked healthy but measured between 35-36wks depending on where they measured. They are sure of dates as this was my 7th scan. The previous one was at 25wks and he measured about 4days ahead. They predict he is about 5.5lbs right now and my fluid level was 23. She said they typically look for around 20 at this point in the pregnancy. I've been cramping a ton and she said that's because things are getting over extended. I have a c-section booked for 12/10 when I am 39+4. They wont let you schedule anything before 39wks here. I guess my question is for those who had the combo did you go earlier? And how did you cope with the last couple months of pregnancy? I am so uncomfortable, but my body things its close to full term if not term based on my last pregnancy size. I guess the thought of another 8weeks is just overwhelming and I feel like I can't do it. I know its best he stays cooking until he is ready, but my goodness my poor belly and skin and everything, its so painful.

Hi there! My baby is measuring well ahead, already over 7lbs, and I have a lot of fluid. At my growth scan yesterday there was a massive pocket of fluid at the bottom, it made the baby look tiny next to it.

I will say that I am extremely uncomfortable. My stomach is 56" around at the biggest point. It's painful! I'm under 5 feet tall so I look like a beach ball. My fundal height isn't too bad - it's 41cm right now, but baby seems to be all sticking out front anyway.

I have an appointment with a consultant at the hospital tomorrow, I'll let you know what they say. I don't have a date for a c-section or anything like that yet, my midwife just said I wont be allowed to go past 41 weeks (which is due to previous emergency c-section).

I know we are in different countries but it's good to have people to talk to going through the same stuff.

Yes it is. I am just so uncomfortable. They estimate baby to weigh about 5.5lbs right now, and I have two large pockets of fluid, he did look tiny next to it. You could completely tell there was too much. I'm not allowed to go past 40wks but they have my c-section scheduled for 39+4, I'm really praying I can go into labor on my own sooner. The thought of another 8wks is just so overwhelming.

It does feel like that. Somehow your body stretches and copes. My baby has put on well over a pound and added many cm of water between 34 and 36 weeks, but I don't look or feel any bigger or worse. Just the same really!

Makes me wonder how twin mums handle it though.

Hey sweetie!
Just wanted to give you my story :)
I was always measuring 3-4 weeks ahead, had growth ultrasound at 33 weeks and she weighed 5lb14oz with double amniotic fluid for my gestation. They let me be and just had consultant lead pregnancy appts every 2 weeks. I ended up going 14 days overdue and naturally delivered my healthy 9lb6oz baby girl. :cloud9: had epidural and episiotomy with many stitches (inside and out) from 3rd degree tear. Just a heads up TMI, they checked for rectal tears by putting their finger up my bottom.
She did poop inside the womb and when my waters were broken they were greeny coloured but luckily didn't inhale any to have risk of infection. My bump at 41+5 was 65" but I'm 5'11" so wasn't as bad as you sweetie.
But my point was - I gave birth naturally with the same complications as you :) xx

OMG! OUCH! They have scheduled me for a c-section on 12/10, I'm praying he comes sooner than that tho and I can VBAC this baby!
