High heart rate boys?

I'm still a few days out from joining you ladies over here, but I figured this was the best place for this question.

DH and I are both hoping for a boy, although we'll be happy with either. I've been looking into all the old wives tales and so far all are pointing to girl. The Chinese gender predictor says girl and whenever I pick up the baby on the doppler the heart rate is consistently in the 160's , occasionally the low 170's but that's usually when the baby's active, since I have to chase s/he around with the doppler.

So, is anyone expecting a boy with a high heart rate? Or had everything pointing to girl and are expecting a boy? I know old wives tales are just that-- silly. But I'm curious

My son had high heart rate. And I think some wives tales said he was girl and some boy. They are fun to research but can't be trusted. Hope you get a little boy! They are a blast!

I have 3 boys and they have always been roughly mid 150's. I don't believe in the heart rate thing.

My boy was in the 160s. Now he's in the 140s. Some of the old wives tales said boy some girl.

Me!! Baby was in the upper 170s earlier on, and now was in the 158 range (as of last weekend). And all but one gender prediction test said GIRL!! Lol I even did the baking soda test.

My little boy has had a heart rate between 160-180 this whole pregnancy. Almost all the wives tales pointed to girl but he is most definitely a boy!

my little boy has had heartrates from 160-180 the whole pregnancy too. my chinese gender prediction was boy, but pretty much every other wives tale said girl. i was definitely shocked.

Both DS1 and now DS2 were predicted as girls by the heartbeat wives tale and an online Chinese gender predictor - which I find hysterical as my boys are 1/4 Chinese (DH is half Chinese).

DS1's heartbeat ranged between 155 and 180s. DS2 has been a little more consistent between 155 and 160.

EVERY old wives tale said I'm having a girl and he has a high heart rate but he showed off quite proudly and it's a boy!

Every old wives tale and Chinese gender predictor was right for me in every pregnancy! I believed in heartbeat thing till this time my boys were always 150s but this time it's a girl and she's also 150s

My son had a high heart beat in the 150s to 60s and now my DD has a heart beat in the 140s. I remember my mom telling me I had a heart beat in the 140s as well. The Chinese Predictor Calendar and most of the old wives' tales said boy for this one but we're having a girl. The Chinese calendar was right for my son but lots of the old wives tales were wrong for him.

Hi all, my twins are about 160bpm each and one HB sounds different from the other, Chinese prediction things says a boy but obviously we have 2. I think 2 girls but keep getting swayed to thinking one of each, eekkk. I have a scan booked to tell us in 4 hours!!!! xxx
