Hey.

Anyone else have this? I've had a gtt test and everything came back fine. I had a scan at 24 weeks to check something else when I asked about feeling big for what I am they said I have extra fluid. Anyway I was hoping this was going to balance itself out, I went for 28 week me appt yesterday and she was measuring bump but said she felt a lot of water all around and off for another scan 2moro to check. I'm 28 weeks measuring 33.

Has anyone else had this? I keep googling stuff and worrying about it. I asked my mw and said is it serious and she said no as scans have come back fine.. I need to stop googling and stop worrying about it!!

I haven't had my scan yet, but yesterday at my 30wk apt I measured 41!!!!! HOLY Crap big. I've had six early ultrasounds and the last was 9wks ago, the baby's due date is right and at most he has measured 3 days bigger. But not 11wks. So I go in for a scan on the 17th. Tho its freaking me out a big and I may call and ask if I can get it sooner. I don't know. Doc is worried, but said not to get worried until we know something and left it at that. I've had a previous c-section and that I think is my biggest concern, if I keep growing bigger and bigger I don't see how that would be safe. But I know nothing. Completely understand the fear tho!

I am super uncomfortable and blah feel right now, massive.

due to increased fluid around baby he had enough room to flip head up...but i dont think it is a major issue to have more fluid than not.

I was diagnosed with excessive amnio fluid as well (polyhydramnios)- I'm measuring about 8 weeks ahead. Dr isn't real worried about it, they are keeping an eye, and scan showed no visible congenital issue... it's just one of those things  The only thing he said it makes you *slightly* (and he stressed very minimal lol) more at risk for cord prolapse at birth.

I had this with DS. Measured about 6 weeks ahead most of the way through. They weren't especially concerned and he was born without any issues. I didn't even realise it was a potential problem until recently!

Thanks, it's good to hear some positive stories about this will teach me to leave google alone..

Only other minor downfall about it is ppl think I'm due anytime soon, and are you having twins!! Getting a bit annoying now!

Thanks for the replies x

People are dumb and will say that no matter what! I got two comments "my goodness you're HUGE!" and "you're not very far along are you, you sure you're pregnant" while at the same party!?!?! :dohh:

Yeah those comments stink, also the well your probably just gonna have a 10lb baby or more! THANKS! I would love to know I'm carrying around a 3month old baby in my belly, I head in wed for my ultrasound and hopefully some answers. I've been tracking my belly growth through pictures and its grown a bit, so Should be interesting to see what my measurements are next week considering I was measuring 11wks ahead.

Some people are just so rude! Strange that you got two different comments in one night!

Momma ducky - sometimes fundal height measurements can be way off! Hopefully you'll be able to get some answers at ur scan! I have another growth scan on 1st nov, hoping the fluid levels have corrected itself, Altho they estimated baby to be 3lbs at 28 weeks so I have a feeling it's going to be a 9lb+ baby!! Eek!!

i've been told i have excess fluid too - but they want a follow up scan on 14/11 (32+1) before they'll discuss risks/what it all means.
i had PPROM and contractions at 31w with my son and measured big with him from 28w+ so im worried for same happening again this go around :/

I had pretty bad polyhydramnios with my daughter (measured 50 weeks at one point!!)but they didn't see it as a big problem - if all your scans are coming back fine in terms of baby then I wouldn't worry. Mine was due to a condition my baby had so they were more concerned about her than me and my extra fluid!!

I have extra fluid also, the reason being is my baby is BIG and apparently it isn't uncommon with a big baby. I'm sure they would tell you if there were any major concerns. Stay away from google, it's the devil!!xx

baby is measuring "on target for dates" they didnt give me any information, just said theyd discuss things after the 2nd scan.... dont they have any idea how tough limbo is.

The waiting is just a killer, I feel for you. Time just drags doesn't it. Try not to worry too much though xx

i have a toddler to keep me busy mostly, but its the evenings etc i worry, doesnt help im living with granma til my own place is ready on 20th
