My pulse has been higher lately and when I get up from resting I can feel it really going. It has been 120, 110, 91 while I have been sitting down after a few minutes.

I called my doctor and he said that the heart works overtime while pregnant but if it gets to 140 then that might be of concern.

Is anyone else experiencing this? I should add that my blood pressure appears to be normal.

Me too! It's because of the increased blood volume the heart is working extra hard to move it around. This especially happens with gating up as the heart has to work harder to get the blood moving to our heads against gravity. If your doctor isn't concerned I wouldn't worry about it.

I have this issue too and was seen by a cardiologist for it, I had it in my first pregnancy too except the doctors were a lot more concerned about it last time and put me on bed rest and medication to slow my heart rate down. This time around I saw the cardiologist and had an ultrasound of my heart as well as a 24 hour heart monitor which showed my heartrate will get up to 152 beats per minute. My cardiologist said it was as if I was exercising but I told him I wasn't lol. But he said it is benign and diagnosed me as having inappropriate sinus tachycardia and said he would treat me with meds if I wanted but preferred I didn't during the pregnancy so I declined. So it can be normal or a sign of a problem, maybe you can be referred to a cardiologist so they can run some tests for reassurance.
